━━ adelaide stafford
the chattering of women had reached adelaide’s ears as she passed them by, and she had been unable to miss hearing her name spoken amongst them. combined with their tittering laughter, she could only assume the worst. gossips were the bane of her existence, for all she’d used them for her own gain. with a huff, she turned on heel, changing her direction so as to avoid further contact. and yet in her haste, she failed to notice another behind her, slamming into them with such force that she was knocked off her feet.
Quickly grabbing the woman who had collided with him to prevent her from falling, releasing her quickly again once she was stable. “Apologies My Lady, I wasn’t paying attention.” He didn’t feel like he was at fault at all in this situation, but he knew that there were a lot of nobles of higher rank who believed that they were never at fault, and so he just found it easier to apologise no matter if it was his fault or not. Spotting the gaggle of women in the background, he had a feeling he knew exactly why she had suddenly collided with him. “Are you alright?”
━━ edward beauford
Edward didn’t know the last time he allowed himself a day outside the throne room. Wondering the fields and allowing the grass to slip through his fingers he wondered how he allowed himself to go so long to roam free, even for a moment.
George loved when he was able to spend some time outside, the fresh air and the fields reminding him so much of home, of Scotland. Not that he didn’t enjoy London, he was grateful to King Charles for allowing him to join him at court, but sometimes there was just too many people. Too many people who George felt were always judging him. “Oh. Good afternoon Your Grace.” He nodded, spotting the other. “I didn’t expect to find anyone else out here at this time.”
━━ elinor howard
She had set herself up in a remote drawing room far removed from any of the main thoroughfares of the palace in an effort to hide herself away. It mattered not to the Duke and Duchess of Norfolk that their youngest daughter was n i n e t e e n , and it mattered not that they where now in attendance at court. To them Elinor was still little more than anIMPETUOUS child to be chided and controlled. That was why, even in the grand Palace of Whitehall Elle was harried by her ever present tutor, Mister Cavendish. Her recent escape had gone off successfully to the best of her knowledge until she was disturbed by a new arrival in the room. Without even looking up from her book she started to speak ❝I do hope you are not here on the orders of my tutor? I have not the slightest intention to return❞
Needing a break from court, feeling that he needed to get away from all the disdainful eyes of those who thought that he was beneath them because he was only a simple viscount and not a hereditary one either. Or at least that’s what he thought they were thinking. Finding what he assumed was an empty room, he was a little surprised when he heard a voice. “I am not, but that does explain who the odd man skulking about outside is.”
richard madden — have you seen GEORGE ALEXANDER, the thirty two year old viscount of stirling. word around court is that they're humorous & witty but i’ve also heard them described as ambitious & cunning.
