“No problem, seriously. It is, but it’s one of the first things people forget too. Well, that or a pencil.” Scott’s smile was gentle and he spoke just as soft as the other. He caught the look over she was giving him and part of him hoped she would recognize him. That she would see him. At the question, he tried to shrug it off, rubbing the back of his neck. “It’s just- Allison, you really don’t remember?” He sighed, like it hurt asking the question. “Wait, just humor me. Are you sure you don’t know me? That we haven’t met before?”
“Either a pen or a pencil you would think coming to a new school... I’d at least have that right?” Allison was taken aback at his last comments, her feet took a few steps back before looking down and shaking her head, her eyes tearing up at the way Scott was asking. “What are you saying Scott? I don’t remember what? I only just met you Scott, I only met you today. I thought you were different, you were the only one not looking at me wrongly, but now you are asking things everyone is whispering. Tell me Scott. Now. What is going on?”
