Woke up and on the first train out of here
“Every heart needs a cutting part sharper than a blade to stab agony” •― Munia Khan
Stabbing –– It always had a way to soothe Major, to take everything that he was feeling and make it disappear. The second the knife was pushed into somebody it made him feel things, things that he loved to feel. Stabbing people always brought him some sort of internal peace, which is why it had always been his go to when he felt something towards a person that couldn’t come close to being called a good feeling. Yet, despite all the people that he had stabbed there had never been one that had stabbed him back or beat him to the finish line. That was until now.
Curley had done unspeakable things to his wife and for that, the tall boy wanted revenge on him. He had hurt her and there was no saying if he would hurt someone else, so he was going to make sure that he couldn’t hurt anyone else or that he couldn’t come back for a round two with his wife. It was weird because he had promised Abbie he wouldn’t get mad, well that he wouldn’t get mad at her, but he somehow felt like he was breaking that promise for being mad at Curley. Deep down he knew this wasn’t what she wanted because she was such a kind and caring person, but he was going to do it anyway.
Well, he thought that he was going to do it anyway, fate seemed to have other plans in store for him. He was walking through the abandoned construction site, trying to figure out where Curley was in the gigantic place. It was all to no avail though because he had looked everyone and the boy was nowhere to be found, or at least that was until Major turned around. He ended up face to face with the person he had been looking for. Which meant that he wasted no time pinning him to the wall with a knife pressing into his abdomen.
“Now Major, that is no way to treat someone in their own place,” Curley said, lowering his hand down so that it was wrapped around the knife. It might have been cutting his hand, but he knew that it was going to mean that he could get the upper hand later on. All he had to do was taunt Major enough to distract him and then he could use his own methods against the taller boy.
His words earned a glare from Major, both hating the man in front of him and how he sounded so much like the voices inside of his head. The way that he spoke fucked with his head, bringing back the voices that haunted him for years before he started consistently taking his meds once again. “Shut the fuck up, you’re a fucking monster.” He couldn’t help but yell at him, the rational part of his mind that always got him through a stabbing having been shut off the second Abbie had been involved.
“Oh, Major, both you and I know that I’m not the only monster here. I’m not the only one to have hurt Abbie.” Curley’s voice remained calm, with a dangerous tone to it all. He was trying his best to get out his own knife without making it too obvious, without alerting the man who had a knife against him. The more he stalled the more time he had, but it wasn’t quite enough for him to get away injury free.
It was funny that they both went for the stab at the same time, the only difference being that Major had a hand to go through and Curley had nothing but a t-shirt. So, it was the taller of the two that double over before he could get the knife much into Curley. It was also the taller boy that got four more stab wounds as he fell to the ground. The younger and shorter boy gave him a few kicks to the areas where he stabbed before he took off running, mostly trying to find a way to twist this around on the other boy. Honestly, with his history of stabbing people, it probably wouldn't be too hard.
He glanced back to make sure that he wasn’t being followed but little did he know that Major had already passed out cold. There was a lot of blood that could be lost from a stab wound, then add three more. He had to be found soon or there was no way he would survive, but he couldn’t even give out one last try because of his eyes were already closing and he was having a hard time breathing. So he just kind of gave up right there, praying for the first time in a long time that someone would find him.

Loss makes us do funny things, makes us believe something irrational is the best decision to make. Loss brings a sense of pain that can destroy everything a person has, that is if they let them. With a blink of an eye, something can be gone, lost to the universe. With a blink of an eye, someone’s world can crumble before them.

“For whatever we lose (like a you or a me), It's always our self we find in the sea.” •–– E. E. Cummings
Abbie Hastings –– The only woman that Major could truthfully say that he loved. She was the only person to make him feel wanted, to make him feel like he wasn’t a monster that everyone made him out to be. She was the only person that Major could see in his life forever, and now she might be gone. Torn away from his life just like that, by one stupid fucking bath. One bath, one bottle of pills, and one fucking three letter note.
The note was right about one thing, he didn’t understand. But it wasn’t that he didn’t understand why Abbie did it, he had been in that place more than once, he didn’t understand why she didn’t trust him enough to talk to him. To tell her that she was hurting in some way. Because God knows, he would have given anything to make sure that she was okay. That she was happy. That she had everything that she could possibly need; and it hurt that she must not have believed that. Luckily there was still a chance for him to do that, a chance to prove to Abbie that he could be there for her.
It was all because of Xavier, who had fallen easily asleep in his father's arm so it gave him the chance to check in on his wife. He wanted to ask one simple question but instead, he found a horrible scene in front of him. His wife was passed out in the bathtub with a bottle of pills next to her, drowning. Which prompted him to rush over to her and yank her out of the water, instantly checking for a pulse.
The next few minutes were a blur really, it consisted of him trying to get Abbie to breathe to an ambulance coming and taking her to the hospital. To Major instantly packing a bag and getting the baby carrier so that he could wear Xavier on the ride to the hospital. Which is how he ended up in a hospital, a sleeping baby strapped to his chest, as he paced the hospital room waiting for his wife to wake up.
It was a cold night in Salem, snow falling just enough to cover the ground but not enough to be more than an inch or so. Major was standing behind McDonald’s as he waited for the person who had been dumb enough to sell coke to his wife. Yeah, maybe he didn’t know what he current condition was but if he lived in this town he should've known that you don’t mess with Major and you especially don’t want to mess with his family. That was in all senses a recipe for disaster. But clearly Rez didn’t acknowledge or chose to never learn it, which one was worst; the tall boy wouldn’t know.
Major had already been waiting there for twenty minutes and the other male was still a no-show, which is why he wouldn’t be surprised if Rez didn’t show up at all. In all honesty, the person who had sold coke to his wife didn’t seem like the type of person who would actually show anyway. Based on the conversation he had with him alone, it appeared that this wasn’t going to be a challenge for him. But still, he brought his knife with him, flipping it open and closed as he waited for Rez to come. || –– @empirecfdirt ||
