— “unfortunately, i can think of a fair few people who would give you wrong directions, so that’s likely.” remus made a face, hoping that no one at hogwarts was really being that cruel to the foreigners. did they not remember their first years, when they were just as lost? the castle was a mystery to most. the marauders map flashed against his eyelids again, but that was a secret all his (and james and sirius and peter)’s own. “i don’t mind taking you all the way up to the tower, but i don’t really know where the entrance to the ravenclaw common room is. i’m a gryffindor.” he pointed at his red and gold tie. “different house.”
“it’s supposed to be a blague, i get it, ha-ha. i wish i would’ve realized four floors ago.” he supposed he should’ve taken clue when the people became scare, “gryffindor, lion, right?” it was interesting here, he’d heard of separate houses, he’d had a few friends who’d attended a school in america with the same concept, he couldn’t grasp it. “may i ask- i’ve read the history on hogwarts,” most of it anyway, “is it not odd for you all to be separated? i suppose we are a a smaller school than you, but it is weird, no? not knowing where each others are?”
