Over the weekend, a TransCanada natural gas pipeline exploded shooting flames 300 meters into the air and leaving thousands without heat in sub-zero temperatures. This is the SAME company that’s trying to run the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline through America’s heartland. They say their pipelines are safe—does this look safe to you? http://bit.ly/19Xlju2  We cannot let TransCanada build any more pipelines that endanger our lives and environment.

Illinois Congressman Bill Enyart pledged to support action on climate change under the Clean Air Act during the 2012 campaign in order to get our support. Right now, American taxpayers are footing the bill to clean up many of the most contaminated waste sites. Thankfully, Congressman Earl Blumenauer introduced legislation to make sure oil and chemical companies that generate hazardous waste are responsible for cleaning up these sites. California drought brings risk of 'explosive' wildfires

Recipe for climate change disaster: 2013 was the driest year on record in California. On Friday, the Governor declared a drought emergency in the state. Now there’s a rare winter wildfire raging outside of L.A. We must address climate change before these types of disasters get worse.
