Catfish and the Bottlemen - Pacifier

Now, whenever I write about this band, I feel like my fingertips want to type one thousand times faster than usual, I have so much to say about them and I want everyone to know about it.

Being from the same, small, ‘everyone-knows-everyone’ town as these boys, I have witnessed their ever-expanding growth. Playing to a handful of greasy adolescents (including myself) every other week back in ‘07 down a local pub basement, these teenage lads and ourselves, their small throng of fans, hoped for success. As a fourteen year old, moody pessimist, I still somehow wanted to believe our town could be famous for more than its elderly people and angry seagulls.

But these boys made sure they’d put us on the map.

Seeing them develop into such a well-respected group of artists fills me with such joy, not only because we grew up roads apart from one another, but because I have witnessed their huge and dedicated efforts from day one. And I feel like I get to revel a little in their absolute triumph.

So, with a very shiny and professional video, I present to you, off their debut album, ‘The Balcony’, a purely brilliant (and I’m not being bias, I swear!) new single, ‘Pacifier’, a light-hearted, punk-pop influenced tune that will be sure to brighten up your dreariest of autumnal days.
