What's a girl to do? [open]
At the sudden sound, Leaf shot up from her position. âI know that voice,â she mumbled to herself.
Hastily making her way to the door, the brunette stood on her tippy toes to see the knocker, and a smile instantly crossed her lips.
"Yancy!" Leaf beamed as she swung the door open. "Iâm so glad youâre here! How are you?"
Yancy smiled back at the girl. She looked around the room to see if Leafâs roommate was around but it appeared that Leaf was by herself.
"I am doing well. I have a paper to write which sucks but otherwise Iâm good," Yancy said. She entered the room, looking around before turning back to Leaf.
"How are you? Been busy?"
Leaf closed the door behind her friend, thrilled to have a source of stimulation.
"I wish. There's nothing to do nowadays, which is why I'm so glad you're here!" she replied.
Leaf offered Yancy a seat on the couch while taking one herself. "I've been doing alright, not very stimulated as of late, but alright all the same," said the brunette. "What's that paper for? I never took you as the slacking type."
What's a girl to do? [open]
This was awful.
Leaf, the queen of quick wit, the epitome of entertainment, Mrs. Never-a-dull-moment, was absolutely positively bored out of her mind.
She originally wanted to talk to Serena more, but her roommate wasnât in at the moment, so it would have to wait. She then tried searching for a friend around campus, but none were to be found (And she got lost again but thatâs beside the point).
Her team wasnât really in the mood for training, either. They had grown accustomed to the lazy life upon entering LCU, where Leaf was constantly on the move and hardly had time to do much of anything.
But it was different now. Without a companion to bother or homework to do, the brunette was left to lay on her bed and ponder what she could do for dinner. Her phone remained silent on her dresser as she hoped it would magically ring.
Yancy was pretty bored. The hype was dying down and so she got left alone more often which was nice. Still for the idol it was a different experience not to be surrounded by people or doing so much at the same time. School was itâs own craziness but it was a different kind.Â
She look at her textbooks and then her laptop knowing she had a paper to write for her music theory class but she wasnât feeling it. Yancy knew what she wanted to do. She thought about who to invite. Curtis? No. Not Hilbert. She then thought of someone.
She headed to her dorm room and knocked on the door. âLeaf?â
At the sudden sound, Leaf shot up from her position. "I know that voice," she mumbled to herself.
Hastily making her way to the door, the brunette stood on her tippy toes to see the knocker, and a smile instantly crossed her lips.
"Yancy!" Leaf beamed as she swung the door open. "I'm so glad you're here! How are you?"
@leaf
Leaf was met with what could only be described as a blank stare as she listed off their classes together, and the young man scratched the back of his head absentmindedly. Attentiveness wasn't Junâs strong point; paying attention in class was a challenge enough as it was. Did she really expect him to pay attention to other students, too? Who was he, Hikari?
"Sorry, I donât really recognize you." The statement was coupled with a shrug as he popped open his drink and took a swig. "Nice to meet ya, though. You said your name was Leaf, right? Thatâs different."
She had run out of words for this predicament. 'How does he not know who I am?!' she thought. 'He... and I... three classes...!'
Taking a deep breath, Leaf calmly replied, "Thanks, it is a little different, I guess."
Not knowing what to say next, she decided to go with a question outside of the formalities. "So Jun," she continued. "Did you get the homework for journalism? I wasn't listening when the teacher announced it."
Studying (open)
Shauntal was sitting at large table in the library. She had a big Psychology book opened studying for her upcoming test. As she read, she took a sip of coffee, something that would help her stay awake as she read. The lines of words began to intertwine as she read, she needed to take a break, just for a few minuets. She put down the book to rest her eyes from the words, as she looked around the library at the people passing by her.
Leaf had been scanning each shelf in the library for a good half hour now, but her results came up empty-handed. There wasn't a book that suited her interests enough for her to be able to actually sit down and read. Giving up, she let out a frustrated sigh and turned to leave. But before she could go, a peculiar book caught her eye.
"Excuse me, miss," Leaf slowly crept towards a larger table with a woman sitting down at it. "Where did you find that Psych book?"

With butterflies in her stomach and a spring in her step, Leaf hurriedly followed the fairy types with Yancy not far behind. They rushed down the stairs, past students, and out into the courtyard, where Leaf could just make out the outline of her trusted purple pokemon.
"Granbull!" she cried happily, running towards him at full speed. It turns out the poor thing was stuck in one of the bigger bushes on campus! Now that he was out, she could see bits of popcorn left on his fur which someone had thrown into the bush.
Embracing him in the warmest hug, she turned around to look at the lady who had helped her in the first place. âYancy,â she paused, stumped on how to get out the words. âThank you⊠Thank you so much! I couldnât have done this without you!â She looked at Sylveon as well. âAnd thank you too, Sylvy!â
Cuddling now both of her fairy pokemon, she stood up to give Yancy another big smile. âThank you again, Yancy⊠I mean it; thank you!â
Yancy followed her new friend out of the building. She stopped once Leaf had located the Pokemon. She smiled down at her own, happy to see the pair reunited. After all the searching it had a happy ending. Sylveon mewed up at her.
"Good job Sylvy. Youâre a star," she said. She turned to Leaf when she embraced her and hugged her back. She shook her head smiling at her.
"Itâs not a problem. You needed help and I was happy to. If I lost one of my Pokemon I would like someone to do the same for me. So donât worry about it. But youâre welcome."
She looked at the Granbull. âWell at least he looks to be in good condition too.â
Leaf's smile remained as Yancy replied. "Yeah, he looks great," she agreed, looking down at her Granbull.
"Well," Leaf shifted awkwardly on the balls of her feet. "I guess this is goodbye?" she had no idea how this kind of stuff worked. Should she stay a little longer? Probably not. She needed to do homework. But that would be rude, wouldn't it? To just leave someone that helped you?
She brushed it off and said, "We should totally hang out again sometime! But you know, not under... these circumstances. What do you say, Yancy?"
Miss Leaf, if I were to get you something for Valentine's Day, what would you like?
"Oh!" her eyes widened at the question and questioner. "Well, if I had to narrow it down...
"I guess I would want lots of chocolates, to start. Maybe a jewel or two to show off. Definitely a massage (preferably couples' but it doesn't matter)!
"I'd really like a Pokemon, though; a little one that I can fawn over, you know? Something that's not native to Kanto, though. That wouldn't be fun. Like a Joltik, a Pichu, maybe a Wynaut... Ooh or an Igglybuff! Or a Cleffa! Ah, the list is endless!~"
What's a girl to do? [open]
This was awful.
Leaf, the queen of quick wit, the epitome of entertainment, Mrs. Never-a-dull-moment, was absolutely positively bored out of her mind.
She originally wanted to talk to Serena more, but her roommate wasn't in at the moment, so it would have to wait. She then tried searching for a friend around campus, but none were to be found (And she got lost again but that's beside the point).
Her team wasn't really in the mood for training, either.
"Excuse me," Leaf waltzed up to the younger male with her head high. "I do believe you and I share a class or two, do we not?" She looked him over a bit. "You look a bit young. What's your name?" ((hi hi sorry leaf is being rude i just wanted to say hello~))
The fact that Leaf had managed to approach Jun at all was an astonishing accomplishment, truth be told. Not many people made such bold attempts, and those who did seldom succeededâhe was, after all, almost impossible to catch in anything close to a stationary position, and he moved from place to place in such a way that was strongly reminiscent of the Looney Toons roadrunner.
Amber eyes sized up the girl who had caught him in a moment of standing (before a vending machine, to be specific, halfway through thumbing in the proper code for a Red Bull) still, and he squinted in her direction for a long, silent moment.
"Classes together?" He tilted his head to the side, tapping his chin in thought. "You donât ring a bell." A shrug was given, and he returned his very small attention to his newly-dispensed energy drink. "Iâm Jun, though."
Meeting the boy was an unexpected turn in her plan today, but hey, it was always nice to meet a new friend or two, right?
"Jun," she repeated. "I'm Leaf. We have communication and media studies, commercial advertising, and journalism together," she gave him a sour look. "You really don't know who I am?" This was the most amount of classes she had had with anybody at this school yet, so it was a shock to her that he hadn't noticed.
"Hm, just who I wanted to see," Leaf playfully smirked at the elder boy. "What are YOU going here, Greenie?" Of all the people to see at LCU, Green was last on her list. "I would have figured Kalos wasn't a top priority on your busy schedule."
Green looked down at Leaf, raising his eyebrows, as if he were surprised. âI can say the same to you, Leaf.â
"But what can I say?" he continued, "Being a Gym Leaderâs boring. Besides, you know Iâm hardly there, so I decided to look into the family business. Plus, Gramps suggested this college for my studies, so I guess itâs a win-win."
Green looks up at the ceiling, trying to think about what else to talk about."Sooooo," he began, "What about Red? Is he around?"
Well this was a shocker. Red? Leaf? In two of his classes? Not that heâs really complaining about it, but that was quite a surprise to him. "Really? Huh. I guess Iâm closer to home than I expectedâŠ"
Green looked at his watch and his expression went from cool to alarmed. âOh, shoot! Iâm gonna be late for World History! It was nice seeing you again, Leaf! Smell ya!â He begins power-walking to his class, shouting back, âWeâll do lunch sometime or something!!â
Leaf opened her mouth to say more, but Green had begun to quickly walk off.
"Weâll do lunch sometime or something!!"
The thought rang through her mind the rest of the day. But for now, she turned away herself, heading to her next class. âOh, okâŠâ she mumbled softly as they parted. âByeâŠâ

Leaf nodded and led the way. âItâs nice meeting you too, Yancy,â she paused as she thought about the second part of her new friendâs statement. âYeah, I hope it goes better, as well.â
Arriving at her dorm room on the third floor, Leaf didnât see any evidence at first that would lead her in the right direction. After a second look, she pointed out to Yancy, âIs thatâ?â she bent down to pick up several fibers of delicate purple hair. âGranbullâs fur?â
'So he was here,' she thought. 'But where did he go?'
Cries from the girlsâ fairy type Pokemon gave them the answer.
Yancy was going to keep talking since they finally had time to talk when she noticed Leaf point something out. Maybe coming to the dorms was a good idea after all.
Yancy turned to see her Sylveon and Leafâs Clefairy return to them looking like they might have found the lost Granbull. If that was the case she hoped that it wouldnât take long. Theyâve searched long enough that Leaf deserved to find him by now.
"You guys find him? Well if so lead on."
With butterflies in her stomach and a spring in her step, Leaf hurriedly followed the fairy types with Yancy not far behind. They rushed down the stairs, past students, and out into the courtyard, where Leaf could just make out the outline of her trusted purple pokemon.

Leaf pondered the question a moment. Granbull had never wandered off before, so an ideal place for him didnât come to mind. âPerhaps he went back to my dorm room?â The two had come to the vending machines to get food in the first place, so there was the possibility he could be hungry.
She made a mental note to graciously thank the Sylveon later. An idea then sprung into her head after that. âOh hey, maybe Clefy should come with your Sylveon! You know, for protection and stuff.â sending out the Clefairy, Leaf asked, âCould you follow Yancyâs Sylveon, darling? Make haste - itâs a quick one.â The Fairy Pokemon agreed and quickly bounced after the other fairy type.
Leaf turned back to Yancy and asked, âIn the meantime, we should head back to the dorm room, right?â
Yancy nodded. She watched her new friendâs Pokemon go knowing that theyâd be able to find them. Or Sylveon at least knew her way back to Yancy in the dorms so itâd be okay.
"Yeah that sounds like a good idea to me." Yancy was glad that at least Leaf didnât look too downtrodden. "Iâm sorry we had to meet like this but itâs nice to meet you Leaf. I hope the rest of the semester goes better for you."
Leaf nodded and led the way. "It's nice meeting you too, Yancy," she paused as she thought about the second part of her new friend's statement. "Yeah, I hope it goes better, as well."
Arriving at her dorm room on the third floor, Leaf didn't see any evidence at first that would lead her in the right direction. After a second look, she pointed out to Yancy, "Is that--?" she bent down to pick up several fibers of delicate purple hair. "Granbull's fur?"
'So he was here,' she thought. 'But where did he go?'

Green looks up at the ceiling, trying to think about what else to talk about."Sooooo," he began, "What about Red? Is he around?"
greenthedouche:
"You could say that." he smirked at her wording. A leave was definitely a way of putting it, if not a bit too business-sounding.
"Who knows who theyâll grab? I didnât ask for anyone specifically, so itâll probably be some schmoe who was a runner up behind me." "Also, to answer your question about my classesâŠ" he stuffed his hands in his pockets, shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly, "Itâs nothing special. Bio, Marine Bio, Mythology, World History⊠even a bit of Creative Writing for kicks. A little bit of everything."
Smirking? Leaf took note of it, but she couldn't figure out his reasoning. She left it on the back-burner of her mind and continued speaking.
"'Some schmoe'?" she repeated in doubt. "Wow, and here I was thinking you'd only take the best of trainers to sub in for you. Maybe a Frontier Brain or one of the Pokemon League Champs, but," she almost laughed. "You didn't specify. A-mazing."
She didn't really think much of her wording. After all, she was still reeling over the fact that Green was here, at this school, with her. Serendipity was an understatement. And on top of that, they shared a class. "You have mythology, too?" This was unbelievable. "Oh, and you know who else has mythology?" she paused for effect. "Red!" she answered in a sing-song voice. "And he has creative writing, too. It's like you did that on purpose. It's like it was meant to be~."Â
"Hm, just who I wanted to see," Leaf playfully smirked at the elder boy. "What are YOU going here, Greenie?" Of all the people to see at LCU, Green was last on her list. "I would have figured Kalos wasn't a top priority on your busy schedule."

Green looks up at the ceiling, trying to think about what else to talk about."Sooooo," he began, "What about Red? Is he around?"
"Being a Gym Leader? Boring?" her jaw almost dropped. "I couldnât imagine a better job for you! I mean you get long hours, get popularity, and can beat the snot out of trainers to your liking!" Leaf couldnât help but shake her head. "Besides, what could you be studying that you donât already know?"
Seeing that she accidentally (technically) referred to him as smart, she blinked in surprise and mentally kicked herself.  Quickly changing the subject, she replied, âRedâs here. Heâs in Dorm 1, Suite⊠2, I think? Heâs part of the anime club now. Well, the leader, actually. You should visit him sometime; Iâm sure heâd be just as shocked to see you as I am.â
His eyebrows raise and he grins. Rubbing his chin, he replies, âAha. So he is hereâŠâ
"WellâŠ" he began reluctantly, "Itâs not as easy as you think. The long hours are boring when no one visits the gym, I do enjoy popularity, but the other thing is, every trainer I see, itâs some Youngster or Camper with their Rattata and Pidgey⊠Itâs all too easy for me, really."
Scratching his head, chuckled at Leafâs words of his âknowledgeâ. âAnd Leaf, actuallyâŠâ he continued, âI actually donât know as much as Gramps knows. Thatâs why Iâm here.â
She frowned a bit, knowing she really had no idea what it was like in his shoes.
But there was no way she'd let him know that.
"Hmph. So you're taking a leave, I guess? Who could ever sub in for you, I wonder." She rolled her eyes, but couldn't help but crack a little smile.
Leaf slightly cringed at his chuckling, realizing he'd caught her mistake, but brushed it off when he continued talking. "Well gee, you could have fooled me," she said with a small smile. "What classes are you taking to gain this... "Grandpa knowledge" so to speak?"
Help Desperately Needed [Open RP]
Trekking behind Yancy at a steady pace, Leaf was filled with hope that she would be able to find her trusted Pokemon. Things like this had happened before, but she always knew the area well beforehand and it was usually Ditto getting into trouble. Although sheâd been here a while, the area wasnât quite mapped out in her head.
They reached the vending machines once again, only the man that had been here earlier was missing. âHmph, and here I was hoping we could ask him about Granbull one more time,â Leaf frowned. âBut I guess he wouldnât be there forever.â She kept a note in the back of her mind just in case, however.
"Alright, Yancy," The brunette said to her new friend. "Where should we start looking? You know this place better than I do."
Yancy looked around trying to think of a good place a Granbull might wander off to. She didnât know the Pokemon so well and it wouldnât matter if she did. Pokemon had all kinds of different personalities. She summoned one of her Pokemon.
"Go out and look for a Granbull," she told her Sylveon. Sylvy nodded and raced off. She then turned to Leaf.
"Do you know any places he might go to? Might he go looking for food?"
Leaf pondered the question a moment. Granbull had never wandered off before, so an ideal place for him didn't come to mind. "Perhaps he went back to my dorm room?" The two had come to the vending machines to get food in the first place, so there was the possibility he could be hungry.
She made a mental note to graciously thank the Sylveon later. An idea then sprung into her head after that. "Oh hey, maybe Clefy should come with your Sylveon! You know, for protection and stuff." sending out the Celfairy, Leaf asked, "Could you follow Yancy's Sylveon, darling? Make haste - it's a quick one." The Fairy Pokemon agreed and quickly bounced after the other fairy type.
Leaf turned back to Yancy and asked, "In the meantime, we should head back to the dorm room, right?"
Iâm staying alive
-Hello, I am Cheren and I approve this message. Please vote for me in the upcoming Student Government election. As treasurer I promise to organize the school budget in a responsible manor so we can âboogie all nightâ
Leaf gave the Kalos native a curious stare after she read the new list for roommates. "So," she began. "I guess you're Serena? Looks like we're sharing a dorm, huh?"
Serena had already made herself cozy in the dormâafter all, she was a local student, having enrolled at the beginning of the prior semester. Was she particularly thrilled about sharing her room? No, not really. After all, a room of her own was one of the perks sheâd grown accustomed to as an only child.Â
"Thatâs me!"
But having a roommate was a part of the âcollege experenceâ; Serena wasnât going to object to that. Besides, maybe sheâd end up making a new friend.Â
Serena looked up from her laptop and scooted her chair away from the desk, standing up to greet her new roommate with a handshake.Â
"I was kind of surprised to hear Iâd be sharing this room halfway through the school year, so I already have my things set up. SoooâŠI take it youâre one of the new students?"
--
"We share a bedroom, there are three other bedrooms, a living room, bathroomâŠall that stuff. Itâs kind of nice, but gets a little cramped sometimes." Serena shrugged. The living situation was alright; she enjoyed the dorm fair enough, but would she enjoy her new roomie just as much?Â
She moved to her bed, which was dressed in deep eggplant sheets and layered with blankets.Â
"Um," she started, trying to come up with some icebreakers. "What do you think about LCU so far? Are you playing sports or doing clubs?"
Taking in all the information. Leaf nodded in understanding. "We don't have to share the bathrooms... do we?" She could take sharing a bedroom, a living room, and even a kitchen, but there was no way she was going to tolerate one bathroom.
"Lumiose is great! And the university is even better!" Leaf exclaimed, recalling her initial enthusiasm for the luxurious region. "And I'm not actually in any extracurricular activities at the moment, but I am working at the Cafe Doux; have you heard of it?"Â
