A POEM FOR A NEW YEAR
One day One day I waited for myself I said to myself Guillaume it’s time you came So I could know just who I am I who know others
Un jour Un jour je m’attendais moi-même Je me disais Guillaume il est temps que tu viennes Pour que je sache enfin celui-là que je suis Moi qui connais les autres
Poem by Surrealist Poet Guillaume Apollinaire

FRENCH ARCHITECTURE & INNOVATION
The Eiffel Tower on a November night. Paris, 1990.
In keeping with today's theme of innovative French architecture I have finished up my 3 Part posts on "NEW FORCES IN FRENCH DESIGN" a lecture series presented by Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD U), Claire Le Masne the Cultural Attaché of Consulate General of France, Institut français and Azure Magazine.
The last lecture was given by Didier Faustino of Parisian architect firm Mésarchitecture. Didier’s work as an architect, designer and visual artist is stunning. See just incredible here!
A DIFFERENT VIEW: Looking towards St. Peter's in Rome
Looking towards St. Peter's Basilica, Rome.
A little different of a street corner cityscape then the prior post of Toronto. This same view has existed for hundreds of years, barely changed other than the fashion of the pedestrians and the mode of vehicles. This picture was taken in 1990 and I remember thinking it was so intense that I was seeing almost the exact view as was scene by visitors to Rome during the Renaissance.
ARCHITECTURALLY INSPIRED
A corner in downtown Toronto.
Architecturally inspired? Some great juicy visuals here! Featuring work of Parisian architectural firm Jakob + MacFarlane.
