I also have a weird attraction and complicated feelings about transhumanism. like. It's so interesting to see how it can be viewed as a metaphor for transness in a sense that you elevate your body from its previous form. I believe it's also kinda the same thing when they're some body horror/religious take on the trans body. It make me think about Hell followed with us. I want to write an essay on trans body and religious and robot/machines imagery.

The link to dissociation is so striking to me, like parts of your body can seems very alien to you, they're malfunctionning but they're still you in a way.

I really want to dig this subject more and your drawings is right up this alley and i love to see them on my dash !!

I am a very big horror fan and I love love love queer takes on horror which is also probably why I’m drawn to transhumanism in the way I am.

Hihi !!!

I always feel kinda weird giving my take on transhumanism cause I have a hard time putting words on it ?? But I’ve always had an interest in robots and I’ve always strongly identified with robots characters ? I think I’m just drawn to it because of a mix of being neurodivergent, trans and having a weird relationship to my body and chronic pains. I personally mainly explore it through those lenses as I think it is a perfect parallel. But I am interested in any transhumanism media that has something to say about what it means to be human basically ! I also enjoy a more 90’s industrial aesthetic rather than the neon cyberpunk people generally think of (tbh I very rarely enjoy cyberpunk I think it is very boring)

I read Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep recently and like it a lot ! (I do NOT wanna talk about Blade Runner I was massively disappointed). I love Daft Punk’s Electroma… I just love Daft Punk tbh and yes I do think their entire discography is a great exploration of transhumanism through music ! I’ve also been reading the webcomic Ultraviolents which is GREAT (it’s erotic tho so like. Check it out if you’re an adult) and I haven’t finished Serial Experiments Lain but love it so far… I personally also would classify Trigun as exploring transhumanism but idk if people would agree with that ? Anyway I adore Trigun (haven’t watched the new adaptation and I don’t care about it because I hate the redesigns tho)

For my favorite piece that I have finished, it’s easily the little erotica zine I made about transhumanism, chronic pains and mental illness. I haven’t published it on internet but I will soonish ! But you can see some of the pieces I’ve made for it here

But otherwise my true passion project is Instant Crush…. A comic I’m writing about a trans guy, Nate, who runs away from his serial killer father. You can see all the illustrations I’ve done for this project so far by searching the tag instant crush on my page teehee ! But transhumanism will be a massive part of it as it will be revealed Nate is a cyborg ! Tbh you can say any pieces that include Nate or Melina (other robot oc from that story) could count as my favorite pieces !
