There had been legends spread across the town about the dream eaters. Supposedly nasty demons that not only eat all dreams a person has, but steals souls. Surely a noble prize for any hunter.

So it’s probably very surprising for Aaru to find, instead of the big scary demon stories paint this creature to be, a small child, with vaguely glowing eyes, short nubby horns, pointed ears, and a short, lion like tail. He seemed… More adorable then scary, him hiding behind a rock.

“G…G-Go away!” he yelled out.

He takes it back with a small smile, putting it back on. “I-I’ll be sure to bring y-you more, if you w-ant…?”

He tries not to perk up, but does, slowly nodding. He’d like that…

“Okay… I-I’ll come back again th-then. A-and I won’t tell anybody y-you’re here.”

He turns away as he eats, guarding his food in fear of it being stolen from him.

Aaru doesn’t make any moves on him, and patiently wajts fir him to finish. “Please g-give back my bag when y-you’re done…”

Martin glances at him, before slowly handing it back. After not eating for so long, he shouldn’t immediately eat too much…

It’s a standard cave, big open, a little damp, and cold. There’s a small set up in a corner that blocks where he sleeps from dripping water. “S…S-Sometimes… I-I haven’t h-had any i-in a while…”

“Do y-you want some…?”

“…Yes…” he uncurls a bit… He’s so hungry…
