it actually is insane to me that it's a cultural norm for men to suck ass at getting their wives/gfs gifts. especially when they whine about how they have no idea what women like.

After 7 and a half fucking years I finally figured out why elbows constantly hurt and hands constantly go numb, I have bone spurs and joint effusion in both my elbows and I swear to god I've never been happier to hear such news

#ive been dealing with this pain since 2018 #ive been dozens of doctors throughout the years and none of them have helped #they did two nerve studies and i had an ultrasound of my elbows done this year #but never once in all of this fucking time did a single doctor think about doing any type of imaging on my elbows #thankfully i got referred to a pain management doctor #and unsurprisingly the first doctor i go to for this that's a woman fucking sends me for imaging and gets me a diagnosis #7 and a half years #7 and a half fucking years of my life that ive been in constant pain #7 and a half years that i couldn't have a full time job because i physically cant use my arms for 8 hours a day 5 days a week #7 and a half years of me having to immobilize my joints before going to sleep #7 and a half years of not being able to bend my fucking arms for more than 10 seconds with them completely going numb #7 and a half years of my life being so much worse than it had to be all because 6 fucking men decided they were all smarter than an xray #i hate all of you #i hate that none of you ever took me serious because i was a young fat woman #you ruined my fucking life for years because you were incompetent and didn't care #and god i am so so so so so incredibly thankful that it seems as though i don't have any permanent long term damage from living like this #it's truly a fucking miracle #I'm scared as fuck because i know the way that this will most likely be solved is with surgery #but god im so grateful to finally at least have an answer #thank you to the women who care about their patients #every single goddamn time i see a male dr i get ignored and dismissed and told “just come back in two weeks if it's still bothering you”#which always ends in them saying well idk why that's still happening it shouldn't be so maybe go fuck yourself?#and then maybe if I'm lucky I'll get a referral to another man who's supposed to be a specialist #and be told the exact same shit #at this point i fully refuse to take to men in medical situations because it just hurts me #but today i have an answer #i have a problem that is named and known #i have a goal to work towards #i have hope #personal
