THE BEST ADVICE FOR SCHOOL
College, university, or high school. Unrap your snnacks before class starts so its not loud
Important ways to stay safe!
This mostly applies to girl and youths but it can come in handy for anyone to know!
Up first, safety online!
Know what predators call themselves, some example are "proshipers" and "MAPS"
When in a fandom know about the bad ships so you can recognize warning signs
Being mature for your age DOES NOT RAISE YOUR AGE. If someone try to justify doing anything based off your maturity levels report them.
Report people who make you uncomfortable
Never share your adress or full name
Dont give people your facebook. If took my friend and I 15 minutes to learn where someone went to school, family names, citys, work, and much more about our friends new bf, imagin how quick someone with actual intentions can find it.
That being said, go by a user name, never a real name.
If you aren't comfortable, report, block, and ghost them.
If they dont take no for an answer, block them.
Blocking is a good tool created for this reason!
Preditors will try to make you like them first. SAFETY OVER "FRIENDSHIP"
Its ok to look at there account to see if anything fishy is up.
Be aware of who you are talking to and NEVER assume what they tell you is completely true. If they say they are 15 the could actually be 45 how would you know? They sent a pic? Reverse google it. Is it actually them or someone else?
Never. Send. Nudes.
Its littrally a crime to TAKE nudes AND its a crime to send them. (When underage and at least in Canada and I think the US)
Dont sext.
Now, safety in real life:
Think someone's following you? Turn right 4 times. You went in a circle. Are they still behing you? Call someone.
Do not go into your home if someone's following you. Get someone to pick you up. Don't let them know where you live.
If someone was following you making you uncomfortable keep an eye on them from a distance so you know they aren't about to snatch you from behind
Never put keys between your fingers, you'll break you fingers.
Never put your thumb in your fist if you're going to punch, you'll break your thumb
Hit them in the dick. Or tit. Or neck. Don't aim for face or chest
If they get you on the ground kicky kicky
If something happens tell the police as soon as you can. The longer you wait the more that person is out there and is 1. Getting away with it and 2. Potentially hurting someone else
Try not to walk alone
If they ask for a name, say its Bertha Robetson, never use your real name.
If at any time you are scared, CALL SOMEONE.
Be on the phone and make sure whoever is the threat knows you both have a phone and are using it
If you're at a party, have a friend with you ay all times. Don't go to the bathroom alone. Don't have them wait outside alone if you can help it.
If someone offers you a drink, ask them to get you something else and watch it being poured
Dont leaves drinks alone. If you walk away from a drink get a new one.
If you seen anyone put something in anyone's drink tell the bartender and the person who's drink was tampered with
Do not approach the individual with bad intentions alone or ever.
If anyone else has more to add feel free to share!
what type of things do you want advice on?
Send an ask or comment on this!
Things to keep in mind when getting jobs!!!
Many places won't allow coloured hair and you may have to redye or refuse to work at some places
If you have a school class about making resumes USE BETTER TEMPLATES!!! Places will call back wayyy more if the resume looks good
Even if you dont shop at the place you're applying talk about it like its the BEST products and say you use them (at least have a basic knowledge)
If you are waiting for a call back after an interview, keep looking for more jobs. Even if it went well. Its better to have more options
Dress business casual. Even if its just for a job at Walmart. Dress like you care.
Go online and find a resume template. If you accidentally find yourself at one that wants you to pay, copy and paste things into a different doc, one that is actually free. I suggest www.ResumeHelp.com for a free and easy to use builder
Have a mint before the internet. And wear deodorant. For the love of god wear deodorant.
Compliment, smile, and be as friendly as you can. ACT FRIENDLY THIS IS NOT A DRILL
Do mock interviews before with parents or friends. If anything just get your voice warmed up
High school Advice
I just finished High school. Here are some things that took me a while, but saved my ass in the end:
Teacher's do want to help but you need to try thing on your own too. Use the internet, specifically YouTube (I'm a visual learner do what works for you)
Going to parties and what not is not that bad, just be safe.
Littrally who cares what people think? You will probably never see those assholes again, so who cares what they have to say?
The internet is an amazing tool, use it.
Making notes can be fun if you think of it as an art project and re make them to look AESTHETIC
Hold the door open for teachers. Make teachers cookies. Tell a teacher they look good one day. Not only do they grade you, they will want to help you do well If you're not a dick
Some people aren't worth your time. It's hard but cut them out. Its not worth losing the sleep you're already neglecting
Try drinking tea instead of coffee. Its more calming but still has caffeine
For big character counts: use longer words (for example: "insted of this" "rather than this" +2 characters)
For word count: word choice (for example: "i relised that" becomes "i had a realization that" +2 words)
DONT DO THAT ADDING SPACES TO THE BOTTOM TEACHERS K N O W
Although, going to find and replace and making all the spaces a font bigger is subtle and adds pages if its a page limit
If someone doesn't want your help, don't help them. They are only hurting themselves. Let them fall then help them get back up or they wont learn.
If youre doing bad in the first month kr so talk to guidance, you may still be able to drip that class!
DON'T PROCRASTINATE DROPPING A CALSS YOU'LL GET STUCK IN IT OR WITH AN AWFUL CLASS TOU SWITCHED INTO
Take a Life Skills or Home Ech class. They make food. Eat food. Food good.
Try to not skip breakfast. I was very guilty of this but try to avoid this.
If you skip breakfast don't also skip lunch. I also did this a lot. Try to avoid this.
FOR THOSE CLASSES YOU ARE DOING WELL IN AND THAT JUST BORE YOU
Make your books into a stack and use your phone on the other side. You got a stack of books, no phone here....
If you're getting good grades teachers will care less when you don't pay attention
At least pretend to look at your teacher out of respect, again, they are grading you and will want you to do better if they like you
Be quite, draw, text, just dont bug other people. Teachers wont really care if you get good marks unless you are bugging someone else
Help your friends, if anything just to brag that you're better at math, plus you end up helping them.
Laptops look like you're taking notes but in reality, you're on coolmathgames.com because that will never be uncool. Cools in the title!
This is a basic pile of tips. Feel free to add more or send asks if you have questions or want more advice!
Hello!
As I navigate through life I want to share some of my lesson that I learn along the way! Enjoy and feel free to send in Asks if you have any questions or want advice! Please keep in mind I'm not a professional problem solver or therapist, these are just my experiences!
