Thoughts after the first two eps of S3 Yellowjackets (spoilers):

- do you think Shauna wrote in her journals that she was involved with Melissa? Since Jeff read those he either knows about it already or she didn't include it. That must be Hilary Swank's character in the adult timeline but did she get rescued with everyone else? There's been no other mention of any other teammates surviving (as far as I can remember). Maybe Melissa faked her death once rescued so no one would keep track of her? She must've fallen out with Shauna in the wilderness or once they were rescued and Shauna got back with Jeff. But why would Melissa come back now? Did she find out Nat died and decided to shake things up? - I think Coach Ben did burn down the cabin, he's just so malnourished he is losing his mind. He clearly isn't good at hunting, he just got lucky with that stash he found so he has been starving up until then. The only other members who I think could've burned the cabin down is Travis as revenge for Javi's death or Nat for similar reasons. It wouldn't feel as compelling if one of the random other team members burned it down. If Nat did it that would explain the trailer clip of Shauna saying Nat didn't matter anymore. - Mari said they aren't eating each other now that they've been hunting more successfully and raising ducks and rabbits. So there must be an inciting incident that leads them back to cannibalism - definitely thinking it will be revenge on Coach Ben (whether he burned down the cabin or not) and he could be eaten alive. Mari falling in that pit is either foreshadowing to the series premiere or a fakeout. - The hot chocolate Coach Ben gave to Mari reminded me of Jackie's death.. do we think he actually found hot chocolate in the pit stash or Mari is dead? Ben definitely doesn't want to be found so wouldn't put it past him to finish Mari off to keep his identity hidden. Also ya know.. he's lost his mind. - I like that they are giving a little bit of context to Travis sensing the wilderness but is scared by the connection. I don't think Lottie will be deflected that easily since we know she was still in contact with Travis in the adult timeline. - kind of surprised Misty would tell anyone that she suspects Nat knows where Coach Ben is. I know Misty is a people pleaser but she feels most loyalty to Nat so seems strange she would mention it. Super hyped for the rest of the season and to get more answers!
