Lawlight would make build a bears of themselves as a gift for the other. They would do the thing where if you press the paw it says something and they would do something like "You're a dumb loser" or "You aren't as hot as you think you are" and just stuff like that
I hope my english is at least understandable haha, I just can't think StRaIGhT right now ;))) I'm sorry Happy pride month, everyone! <3
I'm serious tho, forgive me if it's hard to understand, I tried

when you realise that light yagami was simply a poor pathetic booksmart, streetsmart nerd with conventionally attractive looks, blessed with a silver tongue that helped him talk his way out of every situation and was so emotionally isolated bcs of his wits that he started building delusions of grandeur and started masking his real emotions that......is anyone even keeping up w me after this?
Light: I wish you would be more romantic with me.
L: Ah...The moon... is beautiful, is it not?
Light: *in tears* I'm sorry I can't be her
Best part about divorced Lawlight or just them being exes I general is that Light would absolutely feel ungodly rage about seeing the letter L anywhere. Someone sends him a text but it has the letter L in and Light has to refrain from writing their name in the death note because heâs so pissed that L still has to be there.
L on the other hand would probably spend the rest of his life in darkness because heâs petty and heâll die before he lets Light win
L and Light created an entirely new language in order to shit-talk the people around them. The best part is that the phonology of the language sounds like something out of the deepest depths of hell, and it startles anyone listening
Why do all of these read almost exactly like Mello's hot takes in the Another Note novel

Ty to Dru
Hello Dru,
Iâm back from London, and Julian and Emma told me to tell you âhelloâ and also âthey send their love.â But that is not the important part of the letter, which is later. But you shouldnât skip to that part, I will explain why soon.
Blackthorn Hall is actually pretty cool. Itâs big and itâs old, and lots of parts donât work properly yet, but Emma and Jules have done a lot to make it nice. Thereâs lots of bedrooms. I picked out one for me, which they called the âgray bedroom,â but honestly all the bedrooms are kind of gray. They said itâs so we can paint them if we want, theyâll be our rooms and we can decorate them how we like.
Youâll have to pick out the one you want when you visit, but I found one that I bet will be your favorite. It overlooks the gardens which I think will be the last thing to get fixed up, and so will continue to look creepy for a while. There are all these broken statues with plants grown over them, like they were trying to kill the statues. Like they succeeded in killing the statues. It looks like if you went walking down there the vines would wrap around you and pull you underground. Youâll love it.Â
I didnât sleep well before we traveled to London and now I think it was because I was worried. Anush says our bodies often tell us how we are feeling even when our minds arenât conscious of it. Like feeling nauseated before an important test. You probably know what I mean.
But it was good. Especially to see Jules and Emma. I hadnât realized how much I missed them until I saw them. I think I felt it like Anush says, like a weird pressure in my chest that went away when Jules hugged me. Maybe itâs the same for you. Or maybe you already know how much you miss them. Anyway I thought it was important to say I also miss you and itâll be nice when we can all be in the same house together again. I think Irene will like it there too.
Ragnorâs map did actually help, so it was good he came. He found a couple of places in London to check for more of those cursed objects, so thatâs one step closer to un-cursing the house. I know, it would be cool to live in a cursed house. But it wouldnât be fair to Rupert the Ghost, since heâs trapped there because of the curse. And anyway thereâs all this renovation work that the builders wonât do until the curse is lifted. And it would be good if the houseâs roof didnât leak. That might be a little too gloomy even for you.
Now weâve talked about the bedrooms, the house, and Ragnor, so if anyone asks you can tell them those are the things we discussed. We are now at the part of the letter where I have to tell you important things but I wanted you to have information you could share in case someone asked you if you had heard from me. I mean, if someone important asks you. If someone we donât know asks you, Anush says you can say âMake like a tree and leave,â which I donât understand but he says will definitely work.
So, the important part. Rupert the Ghost. I wasnât really thinking when I wrote up above that it will be nice for us to all be together. I mean, it will be, but itâs not quite that simple, at least for me. SeeâŚRupert saw Livvy. She wasnât hiding or anything, and she didnât act surprised that he saw her. But Iâve spent so much time worried about other, you know, living people finding out about her. It hadnât even occurred to me that of course there are ghosts everywhere, all over the world, and theyâll all know sheâs there. The ghosts here at the Scholomance know about her, of course, but Edvard and Prudence keep to themselves and nobody really pays attention to either of them. Prudence is always in the library pretending to shelve books (or actually shelving ghost books, I canât tell) and Edvard paces slowly through the halls and barely ever talks. Sometimes he moans, but thatâs just him complaining.
Rupert and Livvy had a couple of conversations with just the two of them, I guess about ghost stuff. She says she made him promise that he wouldnât say anything about seeing her, but ghosts can lie. So what if he says something to Emma or Julian? What if he can tell that something is weird with the way Livvy is a ghost and he mentions that?
The thing is, itâs not just Rupert. Even if he stays quiet, I already almost made Emma suspicious by talking to Livvy myself. I had to tell her I was talking to you on the phone. I know about Rupert and I know about Edvard and Prudence, but there could be ghosts anyplace I go, and if someone else is there and they start interacting with Livvy Iâm going to have to explain. I got used to Edvard and Prudence ignoring her but Rupert drifted right into the bedroom and asked her who she was.
Livvy says I shouldnât worry. She reminds me that any Shadowhunter can see ghosts who want to be seen, like Edvard and Prudence, but that itâs much harder to see a ghost who doesnât want to be seen, and thatâs most ghosts. She says Rupert wanted to be seen â first by Emma and Jules and then by Livvy and me, though only Livvy's seen him really clearlyâ but if he didnât, Iâd never have known he was there. She says sheâs able to hide herself from almost all people (even Jace, and he has latent ghost-seeing powers), and even able to hide herself from a lot of ghosts. And that even if they do see her, they wonât necessarily know who she is, itâs not like ghosts can just identify each other. And she says if she has to, sheâll just lie to them.
She said a lot of reassuring things. But it still gave me a cold feeling, which I think is my body telling my brain that Iâm afraid. If Julian and Emma found out about Livvy, they wouldnât just be angry. Theyâd feel like they had to do something, like lay her to rest. People donât think ghosts can be happy, but Livvy is happy. She helps me with work and she tells me advice for Anush (he has a crush on Rayanâs sister Nasha) and when weâre alone we play games or I read to her. She canât do everything but why would being all the way dead be better? Everyone calls it ârestâ but no one really knows, do they?
Maybe you have ideas. Tell me if you have ideas.
Love,
Tiberius
Hello, my dearest people,
Let me remind you that SoBH is set in like 2013/2014 so it's okay for Emma and Julian not knowing about Henry and Charlotte, it's not like Tessa or Jem did mention them... Yeah, we read about them like 5 books and some short stories so we take it personal but... Just ask yourself: DO YOU KNOW WHO WAS THE PRESIDENT OF YOUR COUNTRY IN 1903?
Yeah, I think they should know Henry because he invented portal, but how many people doesn't know names of people that invented Google? And we use it everyday, and no one is hating on people for it...
I don't mean this in a bad way, but please don't "cancel" Emma, because she doesn't know people who died ages ago... Because if Cassie will see, that people are starting disliking on her, she won't have such a problem to kill her off
Yeah, this is me being paranoid...
donât befriend me because i will message you at 3 am to cry about how mello and near were not written as fully realized and actualized human characters but instead their purpose is to characterize the two parts of a person (the model being ryuzaki) but existing as separate entities which results in both of them falling flat in areas where the other excels in and overall neither ever being able to encompass a truly fleshed out human character because a part of them is supposed to be missing and their individual arcs revolves around the fact that working together would mean they could become something greater and grander than anything else in the whole damn world and them beating light together as one, as L, would be symbolic for mankind rejecting kiraâs ideals because as a completed human they are everything that kira doesnât stand for and they dispose of the idea of god in its entirety, but a point of the series is that mankind is not perfect meaning that near and mello can never reconcile and come together because that would be a motif for the perfect personâ existence which would insinuate that kira was completely wrong about society in the first place and that each and every person is rotten and flawed which he was not incorrect on. if a human reached enlightenment and defeated kira it would suggest that there was a solution to lightâs gripe which there is not, and there never will be. this is the ultimate conflict of death note. mankind is not perfect and therefore kiraâs ideals cannot be challenged in a way that results in utter and unmistakable defeat, but the imperfection of society can still reject him. i love these two as characters, but i recognize what they are, and what they were always meant to represent. they arenât true characters on their own, not really. theyâre sharp, precisely cut abstracts. if light is an ideology come to life, these two are in pieces. not broken, but meant to be put together. only thing is, it doesnât happen, and thatâs for a reason.
mello and near were created as two halves, and they were conceived to be split apart. by avoiding unification, they represent the fact that there is no person that can be ideal to kira, not even in a perfect society. they are humanized, but they have always been two parts of one concept come to light in order to take down a false god.
Life is all fun and games until you realize that not only do Near and Mello complete each other, but theyâre also polar opposites in every conceivable way. Near sticks so closely to white that itâs all he wears, Mello is bright haired and always goes for dark colors like black, brown, maroon. Near is socially inept as hell to the point of having no friends and Mello seems to have new connections popping up left and right. The spk crew had a pure business relationship with near devoid of warmth and Mello jokes around with the mafia like a found family. Near is a high maintenance adult who canât even handle flying on an airplane by himself while Mello left an orphanage at age 14 and survived on his own, even making his way into a gang that adopted him after seeing him prove his worth. Near spends his time cooped up in a room where he can make precisely calculated decisions and leave the rest up to others, Mello takes things into his own hands at any chance because heâs a go getter and highly ambitious. Near tangled up with his opponent up close, hidden in plain sight, blurring the lines between ally and enemy, Mello shot from afar and dealt a devastating blow each time. Near lives, Mello dies. Both win.
Hello! Iâve been wanting to start writing a story about an enemies to lovers academic rivals kind of thing but I donât really know where to start, do you have any suggestions? <3
Writing academic rivals to lovers
masterlist. main navigation.
@bluebxlle_writer on Instagram
Ooh good luck with your writing!! Rivals to lovers is actually one of my favorite romance tropes, so I'll be glad to help <3
1. Establish individual characters
This isn't related to the romance itself, but I'm mentioning it because it's still a really important aspect to consider. Before writing their relationship, establish their individual characters first - their personalities, their views on the world, and how they became academically smart.
I especially love it when they contrast each other. Maybe one is naturally smart, while one had to study and work 24/7 for their education. Or maybe, one loves studying and actually wants to get the highest grades due to their own desires, while the other hates studying and only strives for achievements because they want approval from their parents.
2. Bonding moment
Sometimes, rivals falling in love might seem a bit unrealistic. To make their relationship believable, make sure that they have the potential to get along. Give them similar interests or views that they can bond over if they put their rivalry aside.
Give them a bonding moment, where they can take time to know each other better and realize that they've grown fond of each other. Maybe they have to work together for an assignment, or they meet outside school, and realize that the other is actually a pleasant person to be with without all the fighting. (Bonus points if they're reluctant to spend time each other at first, but then grew to enjoy it!)
Also, take note that they shouldnât fall in love right away after the bonding moment. A lil cute crush is always harmless, but instant love will be unrealistic. Before you write the start of the charactersâ romance, make sure you establish that theyâre starting to like each other as a person. No romantic attraction here - just two rivals who are beginning to realize that the other isnât as bad as they originally thought, and enjoying each otherâs company day by day.
3. Realization
When and how did they realize that they've fallen for the other? Maybe it's when a character was willing to sacrifice their victory only to help their rival. Or maybe it's when they stood up against their rival's parents, saying that their child should be able to do what they want.
You can be creative, but please, PLEASE, do NOT make it caused by physical contact. Touching someone won't make people fall in love. If they do, then they're just horny mfs. If you wanna write physical tension, go ahead, but do it AFTER the romantic attraction happens.
4. After the realization
After realizing that they like their rival, what do they do? They might either confess their feelings after being certain about them, or deny them instead because they canât imagine the idea of liking a rival. They might even be clueless and not realize their romantic feelings in the first place. What your character will do about their feelings depends on their personality, so this is a chance to establish their individual characters too.
If they eventually end up dating, it'll be good to keep a portion of their rivalry, because the rivalry won't just, vanish when they fall in love. Just make it a bit more lighthearted (eg. ocassionally losing on purpose for the other character).
5. Avoiding toxicity
Although not as much as enemies to lovers, rivals to lovers relationships has a good chance of being toxic. Here are some ways to avoid it :
⢠Although rivals, they should be able to respect each other as a person and acknowledge their strengths.
⢠They also shouldn't bring each other down, whether mentally or physically. To make it healthy, rivals should want to be better than each other, but never bring each other down.
⢠They should NOT abuse or bully each other. They can tease and mock each other, but never romanticize bullying.
⢠They should also apologize for their past mistakes to the other.
An example of a healthy and well-written academic rivals to lovers relationship is Anne and Gilbert from Anne with an E or Anne of Green Gables. They often annoy each other and always compete, but they still respect each other and are always there for each other through hard times.
a quick visual guide to the enemies to lovers trope because a lot of yâall are confused
Friends to Lovers is:Â Thinking up futures together
Enemies to lovers is:Â Catching yourself staring at their mouth and immediately hating yourself for it cause damn they look beautifulÂ
Childhood friends to lovers is: I cannot remember a time when I did not love you
Rivals to Lovers is: Are we flirting or arguing??? neither of us can tell, fuck u but also fuck me
Idiots to lovers is: Kissing the wrong guy, telling them that maybe you liked their stupid face, flirting with them to see how they react Blushing, lots of blushing and not realising your in love until everyone else has
Fake Dating is: Realising this is the relationship ship you always wanted   donât forget the domesticationÂ
