Music therapy. All of her albums (even the newest- of which I wasn't a huge fan) are genius. Musically AND lyrically - she is a genius. We also have similar vocal ranges and being able to belt along side her is a gift. Perfect for when all I want is to sing the pain away. Or just sing, no matter what mood. Thank you Fiona. Even in better times, your music is a constant source of inspiration and if there ever were an artist who I would want to be compared to, it is you. Fiona Apple is a cave of talent, wonder, angst, beauty. We collaborated on a song together but she didn’t want to release it afterward. I wish I could give you an explanation as to why.
