Hello, i'm a photographer who lectures at North West Kent College. I have worked here for around ten years now with a great team of photographers who enjoy tutoring our photographic trainees. We help young photographers develop the skills necessary to become professional artists and further their educational careers onto Higher Education or progress into the photographic industry as Professional photographers.

Here is some pointers to go with the practical exercise i did with you on Tuesday. This can go towards evidence for Logbook and be used as a technique within your CD cover. Use the images you took as examples

CD Cover Project

I would like everyone by next lesson to have completed a statement listing what you will be shooting for your CD covers. This includes: 1. Front cover 2.Back Cover and spine 3.Inlay 4. CD if pictured I also want to to describe how these shots will be done. How will you include a scanned analogue image ie a negative? Also what equipment you will need for example: What Lens and focal length, what film, what digital camera settings ie aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings, how will you compose the shots so overlays can be added such as text to the front of the CD cover for example. What tools will you use in Photoshop to put your work together? I would like all this completed and placed on Tumblr as well as in your workbooks by next week please. This is the next step from your research undertaken.

Here is an example of how to technically evaluate an image using in-depth technical analysis of photographic works on location. Please note how each specific technical genre is discussed independently by analysing exposure factors then relating its effect on the image. Use this as a template when analysing and evaluating your own works and that of others researched.

hi lee i just need your help with one thing, i photographed at a wedding and there was a videoman and he has asked me to send him some "hire pics" would you be able to tell me what that means please? thank you

Depends upon what context he said it in generally hire pics are used for promotion, you need to ask if he wants pics to promote himself, if so charge him for your images Regards Lee

First image taken for the Book Project Megan Ker comment- I like how Andy has documented the time of the image, how he has looked at something that was once full of life and now is not. When looking at the image the sky makes the place feel eerie and abandon, like that it has become a ghost town after time has gone by. When looking at this image I think the sky has been edited to much, if it was brought down a bit it would still give the same effect. Also I like hot the sky and the world dreamland link together in some sort of way as most people would say that the world dream links with clouds/sky. Also the colour in the image all link together the darkness of the colour give the feelings and emotions in the image there isn’t one colour that shouldn’t belong there. I think that the comments that Megan have made are good and have helped out, I take into consideration the comments of the over editing of the sky and I think that I will try to develop on it.
