He could see the way out with the doors being wide open and all he had to do was continue straight through them then run to his man where he would be safe without anything in the world being able to hurt him. He could almost touch the freedom coming with those loving arms and he rushed forward when the doors suddenly shut close with a loud bang right before his eyes then he heard the metallic noise of the lock turning. “NO!” They were trapped inside the school by a creature way more powerful than the demon that was him and he spun around to stare helplessly at the newcomer that were a couple of metres behind him. “No no no… What are we going to do?” His eyes frantically searching his company for some kind of answer he already knew wouldn’t be there and that was when the voice in his head started pleading him for control but he couldn’t give in to the sweet whispers of protection. If there was ever a moment where he had to focus on other things then what was going on inside his own mind it was now and he closed his eyes to concentrate on when another loud bang echoed through the hall. Another pot hitting the outside though this time it was the door stopping it from reaching them but there was no telling if that would last or if more plants would come and how or where that would happen. “Who are you?” Dark frightened eyes turned from the protective wall to a strange boy Ren had no idea if he could trust or not and for the first time that day the voice ruled him as he took a step closer to what he assumed was a fellow student. “What can you do?”
Though steps had initially been light with no intention to keep up with the haste the demon seemed to have fallen into, it wasn’t long before Denìtr was jogging after the male, not because he believed there to be cause for actual concern, but if this ended up being a stupid prank he was in on he’d rather not lose sight of the other before they were on the clear. The eerie silence of the deserted halls helped absolutely none.
Slam of doors made him halt in surprise first however, trepidation slithering in instantly after and a forgotten anxiousness he’s fighting against over memories of being regularly locked up once upon a time, hurries to argue instinct with logic. I’m not there. I’m not there this is a fucking school. And so stupid. What the hell.
“What? Don’t ask me.” He tries for nonchalance over irritated confusion but whole posture tense doesn’t quite pull it off, furthermore eyes stay fixed on the male with hefty amount of suspicion the demon has so far managed to ease none of. Nothing good ever came along from mingling with their kind, this entire ridiculous situation blatant proof of it.
“Who I am isn’t relevant, what’s it to you anyway?” His whole demeanour screamed defensive now, despite how the demon’s features signalled of distress of own, but it may have been an act for all he knew, not in any mood for exchanging names or any else such friendly acts with this person. Hadn’t been to begin with. Demons were tricky business to begin with, giving them any personal information was like handing over
He doesn’t take step back when the male decides to approach him with some purpose brewing beneath he cannot glimpse at currently, but it’s a close one, wariness under toning voice with finger pointed towards the demon in warning, “Okay don’t try anything. Punch you to make you shut up, would that help with this?” He hoped it wouldn’t come to that actually, motioning at the ruckus still going outside and daring to shift gaze to glare at the shut doors with voice rising to a shout, “You can stop now asshole! You’re not funny!” He doesn’t have time or full bowl of patience for this shit, wanting little else than to leave the demon and this moment on their own already so he doesn’t heed caution and begins heading towards the doors, all intention on pushing through them regardless what was to greet on the other side. What was the worst thing that could possibly happen? Surely the academy wouldn’t be that defenceless as to let something dangerous slip through, so he’s set on belief still it wasn’t that kind of nuisance to battle.
“Are you insane?” Watching in horror as the newcomer headed for the doors Ren dashed forward to stop it from happening and throwing himself at the boy while wrapping his arms tightly around the other’s waist they both tumbled to the floor before hitting the wall beneath one of the windows. There was just no way he would allow whatever it was outside to get in to where they were and though he was small without much strength he would at least give it a try so before his company could react the young demon rolled on top of the other. “She’ll kill us!” To prove his point a loud shriek followed by several heavy objects being thrown at the window just above them had him cover down further while covering his head and hiding his face against the newcomer’s chest. The abrupt silence following the last attack when even the wind outside seemed to have died down made the situation even worse and Ren had to fight the desire to scream for help as he began shaking while waiting for whatever would come next to happen.
The eeriness was quickly driving him insane though he couldn’t do much other then slowly sit back up to stare helplessly down at the guy that he was straddling with his knees planted next to the guys hips. With his hands firmly planted on the guy’s chest he was at least in a good position in case his company decided to move and if he pushed himself up on his knees he would be able to peek out the window too but that wasn’t something he would willingly do. “Do you think she left?” Though breathing heavier than usual he made sure to keep as quiet as possible as his dark eyes scanned the guy beneath him for any signs that it would all be over and they could both go back to their normal lives again. Just as the thought passes through his head someone rattled the door as hard as the hinges could stand without coming off and Ren dug his fingers into the boy’s shirt so deep he felt skin underneath his nails. He didn’t even realize he was scratching the guy but he did notice the way the whole room chilled down and how the cracking sounds coming from the wooden barriers grew louder indicating the doors would be history soon. “No… don’t come in here.”
