As a result of tonight's savage russian attack on Kyiv—one of the worst I have experienced—a dozen cultural, educational, and scientific institutions were damaged.

Pictured here are the Chornobyl Museum, the Institute of Literature, the Stary Lev bookshop, and the National Art Museum of Ukraine. Several schools, bookshops, and the Kyiv School of Economics were also affected.

Not to mention dozens—if not hundreds—of residential buildings, markets, office buildings, and coffee shops.

Yet many people will continue celebrating "great russian culture" as if nothing is happening.

The most important thing that westerners don't (want to) realize that this is the russian soft propaganda. They use the media to spread useful narratives and rewrite history. Also they control western audiences' public perception of russia and its international image. By telling the "half truth" (russia being homophobic) they create an illusion of being open about everything that is happening (aggression against neighbouring countries and war against Ukraine). They just don't say it out loud, because "they don't want to distract you (the viewer) from the most important thing - a tragic story of two lovers". No war or genocide can stay even close to the story of two people (no matter straight or gay) that want to fuck but it's a "no-no".

In fact, russia is so cartoonishly evil, that uses gay people only if it needs props for propaganda (t.A.T.u at the Eurovision 2003) or to fearmonger its own people.

short answer: dad rock

long answer: i have a separate playlist for the songs he'd listen to. it's basically the same Dad Rock but also sometimes some cheesy songs and songs i associate with him but that wouldn't go to a playlist About him (i have. two playlists for him). he'd totally be into Evanescence, The Smiths, ELO, AC/DC, and all the indie rock jro put as songs in mtmte 41-42 because it's swerves party
