The hours grew late and the two grew all the more tired. They lost the concept of time passing between the mix of various junk food and ridiculousness of karaoke. This was what living was about. Forgetting about responsibilities and being silly behind closed doors. There were no eyes watching, just two girls using their energy like they’ve wanted after weeks of planning.

4AM came. Ailee naturally woke up first and rolled over to face the back of the female laying next to her. She was sound asleep under the layers of blankets they shared.

“Seoah- Seoah-yah… wake up.” The idol spoke softly and nudged the younger girls shoulder. Guilt was clearly written on her face. Seoah groaned and moved slightly in response. “Unnie…” She knew they couldn’t stay like this for much longer.

Moments passed and they were out the door. The air was cold to the face, but in a refreshing way. Ailee usually dragged her feet at a time like this, but with Seoah at her side as she started her day and the cold air mixed with the smell of aged rain, it was the most refreshed she’s felt in a while. The sleep lost was worth it.

Smiling at Seoah, she held her backpack tightly to her back. “Get home safely. The taxi will be here soon.”
