updated my pinned. not some big changes but some specific ones. one of them is a note that the dialogue i'm writing for luke is not going to reflect his canon script dialogue. i mentioned putting together my own dialect, it's going to use some huttesse words, luke's going to curse a lot more (wdym he was raised on a farm and doesn't curse), definitely taking a bit of inspiration from letterkenny scripts lol bc i love their scriptwriting and some videos rosie's shown me in honor of her aussie ass. anyways giving that headsup before i start on starters lol

gonna retouch this blog a bit, want to really develop a rural tatooine dialect bc wdym luke’s from assend nowhere without an assend accent. also how intergenerational trauma affected luke growing up, having all this evidence of family trauma but family that wont talk about it (iykyk). i also feel luke got stories about shmi growing up, shmi was owen’s step mother and breha knew her, more likely the reason they kept luke’s last name skywalker was to honor her not anakin. yhh also some ither thoughts i cant remember but i’ll get there

there he was, her darling light, the other half of a melancholy miracle, harmed by fate's cruel hands — no, a stolen soul's stained hands. fate, in the end, played only a small role in the story that'd been spun by far too many people, most of them being 𝐮𝐧𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 and selfish. some good ones still remained, of course, and two of them had finally made their way to where the injured boy was resting his aching bones. while finally seeing the twins was a welcome factor, finding them so very down set a sharp sting between two ribs and plunged deeper, scraping a worried heart along the way. the light in luke's eyes seemed to have dimmed for the time being, soon becoming ever hazier through a watery vision. padmé was barely able to swallow the knot in her throat before taking hasty steps forward, leaving obi-wan's side with her arms open, eventually wrapping them around her son's body like a comforting blanket, soft and secure. her hold wasn't tight but more careful than usual, enough to channel sympathy but also to make a sense of fear painfully apparent. he'd gotten hurt in ways she couldn't ever fully comprehend.

❝ we're here ❞, she mused soothingly, leaning back only so that she could carefully cup luke's cheeks and plant a kiss on his forehead. one hand brushed some strands of hair glued to his skin to frame his beautiful face instead. a steadying breath was taken as she stepped aside to make space for obi-wan, to greet the twins too. padmé used her next move by 𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 leia to a soft embrace, pressing a kiss on her cheek. ❝ we came as fast as we could, what in the stars... what exactly happened there ? ❞

only small pieces of information had been told to her and obi-wan by a third party, and 𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐞 of them had been promising. her gaze found the side of her partner's face, wondering what all of this might've stirred inside of his mind.

The entire time luke had spent in the presence of Vader had been torture. Obi-Wan wasn't able to know what was happening for certain and only caught vague impressions through the Force thanks both his bonds to each Skywalker - the training bond with Luke and the shriveled but pulsating old remains of his bond with Anakin - which did nothing to quell his worries. For Padmé and Leia's sake, he had tried to appear calm, but he was not sure if he had been convincing.

He had not wanted to let Luke go, but had also known that Luke had to. This, the Force had been more than clear about. Obi-Wan had trusted Luke's intuition. After all, Anakin was his father and he must still be alive somewhere inside Vader. Surely Vader wouldn't harm his own son? Unfortunately, Obi-Wan had been mistaken. There was a brief flash of utter agony and he knew something terrible must have happened. To even have Luke back at all was a blessing.

After he let Padmé embrace her children, he placed a soothing hand on Leia's shoulder and immediately noticed Luke's missing hand. "Luke.." He approached the wounded young man and stroked Padmé's back comfortingly when he came to stand by her side. "I'm..I'm so sorry." He shouldn't have let Luke go. He should have gone himself. Luke was too precious to lose, and all of this had been Obi-Wan's mistake anyways! Had his love for Anakin not stopped him from killing him properly all these years ago, Luke would still have his hand.

Obi-Wan looked down, unable to meet Luke's eyes. Afraid to find justified judgement in those eyes that were as blue as Anakin's. Afraid that Luke might see the deep regret in his own eyes. "My analysis of the situation..of Vader was entirely wrong, wasn't it? If he hurt you, knowing you are his son..Is he truly lost?"

eyes  closed  at  his  mother’s  embrace.  a  touch  with  such  love  and  kindness,  it  was  the  balm  his  heart  needed.  hot  tears  rolled  thick  down  his  cheeks.  as  she  pulled  away,  touched  his  cheek,  and  brushed  his  hair,  luke  let  out  a  breath.  leia  and  padme  hugged  tight  and  the  young  man  looked  to  obi-  wan  with  watery  eyes,  more  than  his  master  (more  of  a  father  to  them  than  –).

  what  exactly  happened  there?  leia  opened  her  mouth,  then  stopped  herself  eyes  darting  to  her  brother.  after  they  shared  a  look  she  continued,  ‘han  and  i  stopped  at  an  old  friend  of  his  to  repair  the  falcon,  except  he  wasn’t  a  friend.  he  sold  us  out  to  vader  and  vader.  he  wanted  to  get  to  luke,  to  get  both  of  us  –’

  ‘i  fought  him.’  the  young  jedi  interjected.  ‘i  fought  our  father  and  he…’  trying  to  swallow  a  rock  in  his  throat,  eyes  fell  to  the  bandages  around  his  stump.  they  turned  to  obi-wan,  listening  as  he  spoke.  the  man  sounded  so…  dejected.  is  he  truly  lost?  it  seemed  a  difficult  question,  and  yet  to  luke  he  was  quick  and  sure  of  his  answer.  he  spoke  with  confidence,  ‘i  don’t  think  so  –’

  ‘luke’  leia’s  voice  was  low  and  full  of  disagreement.  but  her  brother  kept  speaking,  he  sat  up  straighter,  eyes  a  little  more  alive.

  ‘he  could’ve  killed  me.  he  had  the  chance.’  luke  looked  between  the  three  of  him,  his  family,  ‘but  he  didn’t.  there’s  good  in  him  still,  i  know  it.’
