The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff.
Carl Sagan, Cosmos (via wordsnquotes)

We have our whole lives ahead of us and all I want to do is take a nap.
Lev Grossman, The Magicians (via wordsnquotes)
A really long nap, at that!
SCRAPBOOK: December 21, 2016 This year's annual Merrill Family Christmas Cookie Decorating was no less fun, creative, or filled with OCD sprinkles-applications than usual. I'm so grateful my mom, younger siblings, and I still make our traditions--and each other--a priority, at Christmas and always. As we sat around the table the air was filled with laughter and love, adding to the glow of the Christmas lights.
SCRAPBOOK: December 16, 2016
Casey and I with Bishop Nicholas, who became “St. Nick”, at Ohio Village’s “Dickens of a Christmas.” We enjoyed: participating in 1890s dancing to live violin and guitar; beautiful Christmas carols; ornament making; plum pudding, hot cider, and chestnuts roasted on an open fire. The picturesque snow and wintry air made it all the more enjoyable. I’m grateful to be able to share this childhood holiday tradition with my partner!

Cigarettes and coffee, man, that’s a combination.
Jim Jarmusch, Coffee and Cigarettes (via wordsnquotes)
I MISS SMOKING, A LOT.
When you feel perpetually unmotivated, you start questioning your existence in an unhealthy way; everything becomes a pseudo intellectual question you have no interest in responding whatsoever. This whole process becomes your very skin and it does not merely affect you; it actually defines you. So, you see yourself as a shadowy figure unworthy of developing interest, unworthy of wondering about the world - profoundly unworthy in every sense and deeply absent in your very presence.
Ingmar Bergman (via wordsnquotes)
Or, something like that.
SCRAPBOOK: OCTOBER 17, 2016 Today Casey and I went to the Pigeon Roost Farm to pick pumpkins for carving into Jack-O-Lanterns. We also had fun trying on different Halloween accessories, like this Owl Mask.
