“well it definitely looked like i had one foot in the grave for a while there .  but you know , four years in a vat had me a little rusty .”  shinra obviously hadn’t given him the whole story , not that he expected anything less of the corporation . both hands stayed at his waist ; roche’s advances didn’t concern him too much .  his experience as first class drilled what to expect of those beneath his rank into his head ; though in the past it was for their safety rather than his own .

“do you really want to know ?  it might be easier for you to stay ignorant .”  the nibelheim incident .  he’d been a part of so many operations , but nothing compared to what he saw there .  sephiroth .  shinra’s labs .  the coverup operation .  how anyone could stay with the company after that was beyond him ...  “lets just say , i could never become truly become a hero on company time .”

a deep sigh escaped zack’s lips , yet another day of selling flowers , he didn’t mind all that much; but the slow influx of customers often irked him .  “you should try taking a trip to the country ...”  he suggested , rearranging the display he’d haphazardly set up earlier .  “they have so many kinds of flowers out there .  and you don’t need a church to grow ‘em !” @floralcetra​

“hey , roche right ?”  day or night he could have recognised that haircut without any problem ,  it had been a few months since he had made it back to midgar, it didn’t surprise him that they would start sending SOLDIERs for him after the security forces had failed to bring him in .  “still with shinra i see , what’s a company man like you got business with a mercenary like me for ?” @engineroars​

zack teaches the lower class SOLDEIRs beneath him the bole , a traditional dance used to accept a challenge on the field of battle .  whenever he’s tasked with leading a battle he leads his squad in reciting it before the battle , hoping to intimate those who would face them . 

once the mission is over , and the squad has returned to midgar ; he leads them in a cibi , a celebration of victory ; performing for any other personnel involved in the operation before treating them to a meal .
