Update 10/06
I am heading towards my bachelor's thesis. The lawyer internship is done, the party/ parliament internship is coming up, I'm researching for my thesis. Oh boy do I wish I could just write a few exams to finish my degree. Obviously I'd have to study for that, it's not like I would expect an easy way out.. but studying just feels so much more like home than writing papers does. I don't even know where to start! The professor who's supervising me suggested I come up with an outline which contours the arguments I want to make in each of the fragments and I just feel so overwhelmed? How am I supposed to know what exactly I'm gonna say without knowing what academics say about these things? Every Law paper I've had to write so far has been a case study in which the wiggle room for personal opinion or different perspectives was tiny. All the time they tell me I can argue with my own opinion if there's a way to prove it. But our uni's libraries don't supply this "prove"; these books do not exist in this small university. I'm so worried that I won't have the right literature on hand and that faculty doesn't approve of a critical view.. I hope I will not regret opting for a topic that interests me rather than something a professor suggests.

reblogging this as I am currently living in a beautiful flat that also has one of these bad boys. how does a mocca master give me such 'academia vibes'?
Rights and duties cannot be separated, after all, only when we fulfill our obligations do we allow others to exercise their rights.

good morning
desk setup update- I moved, so there was need for a new desk setup. There still a lot of mess not pictured, but for continuing my summer school classes the desk had to be somewhat tidy. I also had a vegan lentil curry today and went for a morning run for the first time in ages. Usually I loved the day and struggled in execution, today for some reason (maybe eating some nuts before and stretching properly) it felt great. Yay me!
There is still a paper due today; we have to compare ILO core trade union rights (freedom to association, right to strike and collective bargaining) to national standards. In one hour my class starts and there's still some reading to do, let's see how I do in finishing that to do list til then.
