Can’t think of a better way to do it. When Griffin faints, I can revive him with the smell of the cookies. I can understand the appeal. Plus it’s so hot here I doubt anyone would be inclined to keep their clothes on most of the day and that always makes things more fun. Of course, the anonymity of the city allows you to be anyone you want to be. What are our options here? Soccer mom? Wine mom? Spinster?

The only way to be revived really. Maybe lay out a couple of pillows on the kitchen floor in anticipation for it. I can imagine a manly grunt or two once he rouses in defense of the high-pitched shriek previously made. Always does. I mean, long hot summers and nothing to do but mow the lawn. Havensdale does have its perks. Wine mom sitting on the decking watching said not-so clothed individuals mowing the lawn. The baking I did way back when really went with my small town cover.

Still sad we never got to achieve bad ass living grandma status, staking vampires while playing poker and knitting but hey. At least we’ve still got our looks. Tough and smiley. I am one maneur pile away from from breaking into someone’s house, opening all the windows, and baking cookies. It’s very difficult to imagine you or my son calling a place like this home. It looks kind of… Sad. But maybe that’s just all the dead people wandering around.

Plastic jewelry. Plastic jewelry? Is my granddaughter wearing plastic jewelry because that might be a reason to take advantage of this untimely revival. Oh, fantastic, as if the human race needed more stupidity in their gene pool. I need a wine cooler.

That would certainly pass the time. Nothing like coming home to find your formerly dead mother and grandmother baking cookings in the kitchen. Welcome home, kiddos indeed. Mostly the dead people wandering. Both human and not so much. The white picket fences and the rallying community and the candy floss selling carnivals have their charms. Living in the ‘safe haven’ is an acquired taste. Mercy can be a real pain when you just want to stick a stake in someone. Always thought hunting in the city was much more fun, if you’ll recall.

Plastic jewellery. Never too late to give out The Talk. I think the only cause for concern my end was this one poncho my youngest granddaughter had. Now there was something to scare the vampires away... Tell me about it. If we’re doing anything back here it’s getting wine coolers. They’ll help ease us into whatever God awful confessions we might have to hear.

Of all the things to make a comeback, fringe. And kimono style trench coats? There aren’t enough macarons in the world to get me to revisit that particular nightmare.

In our defense, that being Havensdale, I’m fairly sure there used to be a more floral, baking tinge to the air. Still, no denying you’re in the middle of nowhere surrounded by trees and faux cowboys and gals by the looks of things.

Just wait until you glimpse the plastic jewellery and heels and neon. No shaking off the 70s no matter how many photos are burned. Still I think the big one is apparently no one knows how to reign in their hunter children’s radical actions and moments of madness. That trait may have gone and died out.
