I use the first technique described. I go through my existing collection and use sites like brickset and bricklink to find the official Lego parts that best fit the character I'm making. The parts aren't always perfect, and I have had to paint and customize a few pieces in the past, but I try to avoid that when I can

A Hunter must Hunt

My take on the iconic Hunter from Bloodborne! I've seen a few other builds of this character, but not using the same parts, so I thought I'd give it a go.

The Gang in LEGO!

Here's my take on The Gang from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, built out of Lego!

Most of these figures were done a while ago, but Frank took a little extra time since his head (Chris Hemsworth in Ghostbusters) doesn't sell very often.

Some Lego Fallout Minifigs

Here's some of my other Fallout custom, purist Lego figures I've built over the last year or two. This is my take on the Vault Boy, an NCR Ranger and the Brotherhood of Steel Power Armour.

After months of finding and ordering parts from Bricklink, I’ve finally finished my purist Watchmen custom minifigures, from the 1986 comic series by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.

The album I’ve made on Flickr here (www.flickr.com/photos/159628351@N04/albums/72177720309527665) goes over what parts I used and which figures they’re from.

Since Disco Elysium has become my latest obsession, I thought I'd build some figs to celebrate it!

For Harry Du Bois (AKA Tequila Sunset, AKA Detective Raphaël Ambrosius Costeau) I used bright light orange legs, Ernie from the Knight Bus' torso (with patterns mostly erased and arms replaced), the head from a UFO Abduction set and the hair mostly used on Sirius Black.

For Lieutenant Kim Kitsuragi I used Ponda Baba's torso, arms from Bart Simpson, and and old Harry Potter head with the scar erased.

Hi there! Thought I'd start off my tumblr posting with this build of the protagonist of the 2018 Rockstar game Red Dead Redemption 2, Arthur Morgan!

For this build, I used a brown jacket torso from City sets, a head from several Star Wars Rebel fighters, and legs from a Sheriff minifigure. I think the old school pistols suit this boah.
