as you all might’ve noticed, my activity here has been downright zero the past few days, and i apologize. but my interest in bioshock is majorly fading— and so is my atlas muse. i will try to replay the game to see if i can get him back.
in the meantime, i will be residing on fenris.

"Go ahead. Shoot me. Be a man."
"It looks like you’re out of ideas."
"How can you read this? There’s no pictures."
"Come now, I’m being more than generous."
“I warn you, child… if I lose my temper, you lose your head! Understand?”
"If you’re not with us you’re against us."
“We wouldn’t want to miss old Daddy’s celebration, now, would we?”
"Game. Set. Match."
"These people are traitors and must be made examples of."
"Come on out and fight!"
"I’m surrounded by idiots."
"So much for true love!"
"Thank you for detaining my victim."
"Hiding, are we?"
"A lesson needs to be learned here."
"You can’t get something for nothing, you know."
"Did you hear that, my pet?"
"They weren’t kidding when they called me, well, a witch."
"How marvelous! How marvelous!"
“If I can teach a parrot to sing “God Save the Queen,” I can certainly teach this savage a thing or two.”
"Did you forget who you’re talking to?"
"I think this one would be better off stuffed."
"We haven’t discussed the subject of payment."
"Whoa. Is my hair out?"
"Life’s not fair, is it?"
"Just name your price, dear."
"Insolent… coward!"
"No matter how fast you run, no matter where you hide, I will catch you."
wld anyone be interested in plotting?
It felt like the weight on his shoulders lifted and he could breathe easier. Worry had worn his lips, afraid he royally screwed up, but hearing Atlas’ words had made it better. Delsin was able to relax, shoulders dropping as he exhales in relief, a word of gratitude eased out with it.
“I may have something wrong with me,” He says softly, “But I’m not that fucked up to abandon a friend.” Trust goes a long way and while Delsin always had his own promises, and maybe it’s his own mistake, he trusts easily, quickly. They held each other’s lives in their hands. A militiaman and his leader in one hand, two people stranded in a hellhole under the sea in the other.
There was no point in not trusting Atlas. The man had goals.
The younger male slinks down next to him with a huff, “We can stay here for a bit and then get moving,” It probably wasn’t best to stay here much longer, “When you’re able too.”
A friend.
That was a title he hadn't heard in a long time. He always was the leader, sir, or plainly Atlas. But never had they willingly called him anything as personal as that, and it was strange to think that he somehow had earned such a thing. Friend. That made his smile grow, and he slowly breathed in the cold air, it no longer as freezing as he initially found it to be. Perhaps it was the friendly warmth the other brought.
As he witnessed Delsin sit next to him, he, with difficulty, shuffled a little closer and allowed himself to lean onto him. It hurt, sure, but he couldn't keep himself from doing it-- it was automatic in a way he couldn't precisely describe. Comforting. Soft. He hadn't properly let anyone near him in years, so this move was surprising, even to him, but he could trust the other enough to do so; and that in itself was a good sign, one he did not show often.
"Alright." His voice was weak and tired, but he could still talk, "-- if y' say so."
"Dance with me, sweetheart".
Atlas week: Saturday
Dan resisted the urge to sigh in annoyance. Letting himself roll his eyes instead. Gender was a touchy subject for Atlas though he’d admit the whole situation was just weird. He’d accepted that Atlas liked to play a boy but surly he was taking this act a little too seriously. Now they didn’t even want to know the gender of the children.
"How are we going to think of names, Ace if you don’t find out their genders?"
The man blatantly ignored the rest of it. Yes there were things to do. Not the least of which was figure out where more people were going to live in this house. Yes the pregnancy might end up with complications. He got it. But they knew those things and repeating them over and over wouldn’t help. What they needed, for them, as a married couple, was something fun to think about. Like baby names.
"Neutral names are an option, y'know. Ones that'll fit no matter what they're born as." Ones that wouldn't bring them issues, ones that wouldn't hurt them or haunt them if they followed his footsteps. Perhaps he worried too much about this, especially considering he was part of a minority, but he could never be too sure. Besides, he loved neutral names, they always had this sense of mystery surrounding them. Because, what were they? It had people guessing. That idea made him smile.
"Or are you really that obliged to know what they'll be? 'cause if so we can do tests I s'pose, I jus' don't.. feel like it's that necessary." Eyes gazed at his knees, him attempting to pull his dress over them, nervously trying to divert his attention from such drama as he liked to view it as. He had no idea why Dan was making such a big deal about gender, why couldn't he simply accept it?
