♆      “Hey, so I know some of you were probably looking for us, job, hang out, y’know... sorry about the sudden disappearance. I took Laurentia and Vendetto on a little vacation of sorts, they seemed stressed to Hell and back. They’re still sleeping, but I’m up, hope we didn’t miss anything too fun.” You could tell she’d just woken as her hair was far messier than usual, passing a yawn and a stretch of both her arms and wings.

Laurentia, Have you ever faced modern human's weapons like guns? If so, what's your opinion about it?

♪      “Guns~? Not in the slightest, I don’t mingle with human kind so I never found myself up against their weaponry. Besides, I’m certain my magic is still far more superior, after all a gun has to run out of ammunition at some point, no~?”

☀      “Are you the client? I was told to meet someone here at around midnight, they didn’t give me many details but it’s not like I care about that anyway. This better not be a waste of my time, what do you want?” It was difficult to make out the figure before him, but there wasn’t any gut feeling that he put himself in trouble. It wasn’t like he couldn’t get himself out of it should there be a problem, he was only interested in the pay.

Wadanohara couldn’t help but let out a soft giggle as Ver talks about her mercenary allies. It’s nice to hear that Ver can talk about them so easily with her. Although it would make sense that those other two could get tired more so if they do a little more during their work than they expected. At least that’s what  Wadanohara thought.

“Well, with your kind of job I would expect you three to be getting into trouble often. I guess if that is a common trait of the job then it would wear out on you three eventually.” She paused as Ver asked about the Sea Witch herself. Giving her a warm smile before answering. “Me? Well, where to start? Samekichi came back to the Sea, I got a new outfit as you can see. I have been improving my spells and I have grown so now I’m seven inches taller… But, Memoca and Dolphi grew up as well and now they’re taller than me. Oh!  I am also the Sea Kingdom’s ambassador now since we needed a new one. Going to new worlds and places to extend the Sea Kingdom’s greetings. Of course, that’s a little recent.“

Wadanohara listed all of those things happily as she was enjoying her friend’s company. The Sea Witch’s eyes pick up the demon’s arms gesture, did she want a hug? Right! That would make the most sense as it has been some time since the two had seen each other after all. The smile on the witch’s face got brighter as she went closer to Ver and gave her a big hug, her arms wrapping around the other.

“It’s been too long Ver. But I am happy to see you are doing well. The Sea has been improving and we shouldn’t have to worry about Totsusa Kingdom again like in the past. Ah! I just got an idea! I’ve been playing the piano for my friends. So why don’t you come over and I’ll play it for you as well. You should at least come to the sea in better circumstance at least once.” She couldn’t help but giggle at her statement as she reminded herself on how Ver’s group was hired hands for Totsusa Kingdom. She holds nothing against them for it and now she could take it in better strides to the point she can have a laugh about it.

♆      “Psh, us getting into trouble? It’s more like trouble just finds us! Not that I can complain, it’s never a dull moment when you don’t know what’s coming up next. Oh, has he now? That’s great to hear! It never did seem that he got along with many of the Blue Sea residents, but I know for a fact that he really clicked with you.” She couldn’t be happier to hear such news, even if in the back of her mind she still worried. Other worlds meant new dangers, she could only hope Wada was being safe about this.

♆      “Ah, I remember, Ven would talk about Memoca all the time. Mostly about how short she is and that ‘I was going easy on her, just you wait I’ll win the next time’~! Man, he wouldn’t shut up for a week after we left. Y’know.... I do still feel bad about that whole incident, I really had no idea that’s what we were in for.” She spoke in a different tone when referencing her friend’s complaining, laughing to herself afterwards. The joy was infectious, Ver’s own smile only widened as Wadanohara accepted her offer. The demon gladly returned the gesture, arms wrapping tightly but not painfully around the other in a snug embrace. Looks like today was going to be more pleasant than she had originally planned.

♆      “That sounds fantastic, I’d love to hear you play! It’s really been far too long since I got the chance to drop by and hang for a bit. I’ve made sure that I’m off the hiring list for today, so no interruptions, I’ve got plenty of time to spend. I hope none of your friends mind, I think it’d be nice to see how they’ve been since we were last here as well.” Maybe she’ll even bring something back for Laurentia, there were some rather pretty shells that lined the seafloor.

     I’m here, writing muse has just been very low for all of my blogs. I know I have it written that this blog is low activity but it’s not in big bold letters and I fear some will miss it. I do check up on all of my blogs! I just.... suck at replying a lot lmao. I have a couple other blogs that I shift around on, but also a discord if you’d ever like to nudge me on there/chat! I’ll be trying to get a few replies done tonight if I can, sorry about the inconvenience.

The sea witch couldn’t quite believe it worked. She didn’t think the demon would be dumb enough to accept such a thing and walk in to a strange building after being goaded into it by the idea that Ver was in here. She didn’t know much about the other really. Besides knowing they along with her friend Ver and Ven came to the sea one day, and haven’t been back since. Other that, all she has ever thought of was painting a wide happy smile on that face!

Holding a bat in her hand, she had a plan in mind. She didn’t know if this would work out, which is why she’s gonna target the upper back/head area in order to get the full effect. Or least she believes so. Running up to the other from behind with a hard bat and smacking them there in hopes of knocking them down and out.

♪      “!!!” Laurentia had managed to avoid a direct hit to her head by stepping forward, but in doing so the bat struck roughly against her back, knocking the demon straight to the ground. She didn’t know the other was going to strike her, the initial dodge being completely by accident. The witch was lucky, for the demon was temporarily paralyzed from the attack, only capable of glancing up in horror at the cause of her injury.

♪      “Y-You.... I knew it! Get away from me!” With any strength she could muster, Laurentia made every attempt to distance herself, to move. Nothing worked. It was all in vain as still she simply lie on the ground where she landed, dread pooling in her stomach at the sight of the bat. It was coming back, wasn’t it? It was her fault for coming here and not listening to her gut when it told her to run, this is the punishment for a clouded mind.

The Sea Witch smiles warmly as she found her friend and waves her hand once spotting Ver’s arm raising quickly to wave to her.  She quickens her pace in her approach towards the mercenary. Stopping as she was a few steps away from Ver and lowers both of her own arms into a V pose. She shakes her head gently. “No need to be sorry, Ver.  I know how important your job as a mercenary is and the money you earn.” She couldn’t help but let out a soft giggle with Ver’s last statement. “I completely understand what you mean.  I swear you haven’t changed one bit  Ver. I’m happy that I was able to see you again after all of this time.”

♆      “Yeah, it can keep me pretty busy, but it seems all three of us have the day off. Laurentia and Vendetto didn’t want to come with me, I tried asking but they weren’t interested in going out today. Guess even they tire after a while, you’d really think otherwise with how they usually are.” The demon’s tail waved happily behind her, arm drooped to now gently rest upon her hip. Seeing Wadanohara up close again urged her to inch forward just slightly, stopping herself instantly as she refrained from hugging the other. Better to ask than act first, right?

♆      “Not much new really goes on with me, after a while of doing a job like ours you get used to just about everything. What about you though, has anything fun happened since I last saw you? I know a few things have changed in the sea, but I’m hopping as of recent they’ve all been for the best.” Instead, Ver’s arms extended slightly in a gesture, whether or not the sea witch would take it is up to her.

It’s as if she didn’t really care what the other asked, or wanted to know. But more she just wanted her goal, and to at least push that goal into the other. So that they see their silly questions, their silly wants and desires. Will be no more. All that she will care for. Is the Sea of death.

As she just continued giggling. As if she has already see the results, and is just getting rather excited about the whole thing. But now. Now was the time to be a bit more ‘honest’ shall we say.

  “Why doN’T yOU coME in AnD GeT sucH tHen? I’ll AnswEr ALl YOu LikE!”        “i PRoMisE! You’lL aT leaST sMIlE ANd BE haPPy WheN DonE!”

As if she was foreshadowing events she was seeing that was yet to come. But where was she really? Sure it sounded like she was talking from the inside of this place. But it she wasn’t in the center of it at least. She was hiding…Waiting for the other to enter in order to strike.

♪      “What a nuisance.... fine. I suppose there really isn’t much of a choice here, now is there? Play your game, get what I asked for. Whatever you have on your mind, you better make this worth my time.” Once more hesitant, Laurentia looked down at her own feet almost in question as it were if they refused to move. Something in the back of her mind was screaming for her to get out of here and look elsewhere, but what if Ver was really in there? It wasn’t a chance the demon could pass up, not so without any sort of proof against the concept.

♪      “Alright, start talking. I’m here.” It didn’t take long for Laurentia’s eyes to adjust once she entered the strange building, her eyes were accustomed to the dark from the world she belongs to. Somehow, the atmosphere felt thicker here, as though it became a struggle to breathe. It made the demon check to see if her spell had worn off, but oxygen filled her lungs with each breath. The air was just thick. It made her nervous.

     Going to work on some more icons today, perhaps get a few replies out if I get the chance.

The Sea Witch decided to look for Ver since she hasn't seen her for quite some time. Though maybe if she was lucky she would bump into her or the other two she was with. Hopefully Ver has been doing well.

♆      The other’s search wouldn’t take long, Ver herself was out wandering for the day as she found herself in a particularly good mood. Laurentia wasn’t that fond of sunlight and said she’d like to stay home today and Vendetto was currently sleeping last she checked, it was unfortunate they couldn’t come along. Spotting an all too familiar blue, however, a content smile formed on the demon’s face, her arm shot up to wave at the approaching figure.

♆      “Wada! Long time no see, huh? Sorry it’s been so long, I know I promised I’d visit on my next day off but, well.... let’s just say I didn’t get one until today.” She laughed, shrugging off the awkwardness of her prior statement.

She whispered under her breath.’Oh…But you’ll love to do things like that for me very soon….’ Though the other had asked a question, so she pretty much had to change her tune pretty quickly after doing something like that. As she just smiled like a little innocent girl at the other.

  “wHy DOn’t You aSK heR wHEN We GeT thErE? i’M sURE shE’lL EXplAIn!”

She nodded a ton. Nod…Nod…Nod.

Before long however, she had reached where she was going. It didn’t look like much. But it was a quiet sounding place. As if the whole area had been lost, or just left to rot. But it was the perfect setting for something she really wanted to do. If she can pull this off. She’ll be really happy.

   “HeRe We ArE~! sTep inSidE anD mAke YoURsELf at Home cUtIE~!”

♪      “I was asking you! I.... ugh.... You’re quite the nuisance, you know.” With a groan of annoyance, the demon reluctantly continued forward with the witch, gaze darting about as she found herself rather uncomfortable in this situation. Upon approaching a building, there was a nagging feeling in the back of her mind that told her to leave. Now. Laurentia couldn’t, however, her concern for Ver Million was stronger than the voice that spoke to her, she had to find out if her friend was okay.

♪      “I don’t want to.... why can’t she just come to the entrance? I’m sick of you avoiding my questions, I want answers. From you.” She stood in the doorway, inches from entering the building, yet taking no steps further. Her tail fidgeted behind her, twitching in annoyance as she stared into what appeared to be a dark room. Ver couldn’t see well in the dark, not like her, something here wasn’t right.

Oh she was…She was. She knew it was annoying the other, so she over did it to annoy them even more. But in her mind. She’s just envisioning just how lovely they’ll find it in the near future. As she wagged her finger at the other as if to say. ‘Don’t be so impatient!’ As she continued walking forward into more no where, or at least to the furthest building that Wadanohara could see in front of her.

  “Don’t WorRy…We’Ll bE thErE soOn…I maDe SUrE to HAvE hEr FaR aWay.”     “sHE neEDed Some Work DOnE…So we had TO kEeP her LOcKeD uP.”   “Don’t YOU do THaT to PeoPLE you WanT to KilL AnywAYs MISs? HehE…~”        “VeR toLD mE ThaT…She TOld ME lotS of THingS abOUt YOu~”

Which was a lie of course. She was really digging a hole that she hopefully wanted the other to join her in soon. She just better be sure that she doesn’t poke the beast too long before it ends up striking her and causing her not to achieve her goals.

♪      “Soooo.... you’re telling me that you’re lying right to my face? That’s not very nice, you know~. I’m not Vendetto, I don’t draw out my kills or torture them for prolonged amounts of time. I prefer to swiftly strike them and get it over with so I can be paid and on my way. Tell me then, what else has Ver spoken to you about me?” Well, Wadanohara better be quick in her actions, because Laurentia stopped walking. She was certainly suspicious prior to this conversation, but the more the sea witch spoke, the more she found holes in her story.

♪      “I don’t hold captives, it’s not really my style. Next you’ll be telling me Ver says I kick puppies. So then, I’d like to know where she really is. Before we keep going. I’d say that’s fair enough, no~?” Otherwise, she refused to move. Laurentia loved the color red, but she felt she was seeing far too much of it.

“Huh?” Oh! Seems he wasn’t as alone as he thought he was out here. A demon woman stood before him and he could feel his body tense up involuntarily; his travels had taught him that immediately trusting anyone, most of all those of a supernatural nature, was a potentially lethal mistake. So, he was wary, to say the least.

“Uuum! I-I had been told there was some market this way. I need to replenish my supplies, you see.”

♆      “Oh. Yeah, wrong way, you’re currently heading south. South is a dead zone, literally. Not friendly to strangers, you want to head east. I’ve got nothing better to do if you want me to show you, otherwise it’s that way.” Ver pointed to her right. He was wise not to go about trusting every living (or not) soul he came across, she felt the same way. Sure, a little trip alongside someone wouldn’t bother her, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t always on her guard. She gave off a small yawn, arms and wings stretching alongside it before blinking the feeling away.
