Cavity filled wisdom bottom teeth, yikes!
Wisdom teeth extractions, here we come!
I posted the two teeth on my bottom jaw that's been obnoxiously hurt from time to time. The one with the gum flap was the one hurting a lot that it swelled the inside of my mouth (left side) during my sister's baby's birthday party. I couldnt even open my mouth and eat the sub!
I called Monday to get me an appointment either that day or tuesday. But tuesday preferred so Marshall was off cuz of Charlotte. It all worked pretty great because we had to drop Charlotte off around 8-9am at the vet then I have an appointment at 10:15am and needed to be there around 10am to get some papers done. I had to pay 250$ to pay a deposit to hold my seat to do the operation and consultation.
That day also, I posted on my Facebook about people's experiences and they shared theirs. Interesting stuff (some snippets and I still need to reply to them:
While we were waiting to be called inside, I saw one of my great gay friend, johnny, and it was really great to see him and the first thing he asked was: "youre back? Since when?" I told him since last year and I was keeping it on a down low. We decided to catch up and meet one of these days. He got one wisdom teeth out and apparently it costed him $400+??????? Even though it was just with general anesthesia? Idk.
We finally got called in.
We went inside, signed some stuff, got out temp taken, got xrayed, went inside a room and waited foe the doctor to come. He looked at my x ray, inside my mouth and said that he will just make a small incision and that would be it and going to be an easy procedure. Then he left. Marshall was trying to make me feel better and getting my anxiety out then the lady came for the remaining balance I need to pay which was another $200+. It's an estimation of how much the insurance would honour. I could have overpaid or underpaid, they'll call me.
Then after that, marshall left and the nurses started coming in and hooking up all the readers on me, inserted the IV on me and telling me that theres no needle in me anymore that it was removed. They gave me a tinted glasses and removed my eyeglasses and put it in the bag. I couldnt see well but I was looking through the distance and could see the silhouette of the tree, red and orange.
The doctor finally came and started injecting mme the anti nausea or the steroids(?) Idk. But the last thing I remember was him walking behind me with the nurses still there and the last thing I remembered thinking was Charlotte and how she was doing.
I woke up like that skyrim intro, the nurse woke me up and I was in a wheel chair and she was helping me up to get in the car. Marshall put the seat belt on me and put my glasses on. Then all of the sudden I just started crying. I dont know why, but I was crying.
The reason behind it, the way marshall explained it, when people go on there and wake up, their anxiety caught up to them... something like that.
We drove to the pharmacy, documented stuff on my go pro, went home, I changed clothes and hopped on our bed while he rested before getting Charlotte and I just fell asleep when he left. I woke up once more when Charlotte came and jumped in our bed cuddling next to me.
Her face was just... she looks so scared and hurt
Marshall had to explain to me that she was disoriented and skittish cuz of the meds shes taking, it would heighten her anxiety but ease her hurting. Our poor little hamster 😩😭
Overall, I'm not feeling any pain at the moment and it's my second day. I've washed my mouth with saline and took my meds on time also. The only thing I'm feeling is dizziness and woozy and loopy. I'm just so happy that Marshall is there to help me cuz I wouldnt have the energy to walk far to walk Charlotte... it's not like she wants to go out in the first place since she doesnt want to.
