Hey, y'all! I'm super excited to finally share a peek of a piece I've been hard at work on for weeks and weeks: it's my contribution to the Queer OC Zine 2024!! 👀 And of course it's Decimus. This bad boy's made entirely of gouache and the colors are so funky and fun. It'll be a while yet until I can share the full picture--with all the collage parts hehe--but I can't wait for y'all to see it! (Also this is my first time doing anything for a zine, I'm STOKED 🤠🤠)

Of course, I'm just one of dozens of other artists and all of us worked super hard with the stellar folks at @queeroc-zine to share our lil blorbos. The art and writing coming out of this project has been absolutely delicious and 😎 pre-Orders are available right now right here! Get one! More info is here. Happy '24, y'all! Sorry for the lack of posts--'23 was bonkers 💀

Anyway, here's some character art for an upcoming ttrpg thingy. It'll be my first time playing with the Root system, but the premise is that we'll be playing as the familiars of our humanoid characters. 👀 The dwarf barbarian is Sortsol and she was hoping to get a really cool familiar like a bear or smth. She ended up with chaotic little starling who refuses to be called anything but Heck. Heck is a Scoundrel who has a bottomless hate for the rich after they filled Heck's perches with bird spikes.

When Did You Stop Fightin'?

My Deadlands character, Boaz, is entering his poor little meow meow phase. Turns out he might have outgrown his found family but he can't just leave em behind. Things are not very yeehaw right now. 😔

Besties

Some art of a moment between my and a friend's Masks characters. Theirs is Max (left) and mine is Izzy (right).

Extra context for anyone curious... 👀

For a super general idea of the game, Masks is a ttrpg in which player characters are a team of teens with super powers, a la Young Justice. Our game takes place in 2011/2012.

The scene I drew took place after a super-powered Grinch (yes, literally the Grinch) crashed our characters' x-mas party, which left everyone physically and/or emotionally hurt. Izzy (who has trauma around his powers) got freaked out and fled the fight after it ended, ending up in an empty golf course nearby. Max went after him to make sure he was okay and keep him company through his panic attack. In the end, Izzy crawled out of the sand trap he'd quarantined himself in (because of his unstable powers) and sat beside Max to comfort him in kind. Max is the de facto leader of our team and has to stay calm under a lot of pressure, but because his twin was seriously hurt during the fight, Max needed a shoulder to lean on.

(There's so much more fun character stuff that led up to this moment, but 😂that'd take me ages to write up.)

Sooo excited to share this book cover illustration I've been working on! This was super labor intensive but so fun to work on--characters and nature are two of my favorite things to paint. 🤠 The title of painting refers to the toxic plants and predatory creatures on the back cover/left side of the painting. The book is called Mandrake Manor by J. P. Rindfleisch (synopsis and more info here.)

T4T (Girl Dick & Boy Pussy) 12" x 9" Gouache

Another painting made for the penis-themed art show! The show happened this past weekend and I'm so glad I committed to focusing on a trans perspective in my work👏😤🏳️‍⚧️ Being the only trans artist there, mine ended up being a unique take on the theme, but more importantly it was really validating to express these ideas and talk about them with folks c:

Self Portrait '23 10" x 8" Gouache

A loose still life of my packer and my man juice 🤠 The colors in the actual painting are way too vibrant for my camera to interpret correctly and despite painstakingly adjusting the colors in ps, every digital screen I've viewed the images on look significantly different so 😂hopefully it looks okay on everyone else's end. (This and CBT were both made for an art show about penises in case anyone is sensing a theme lol.)
