“oh it’s to prepare you for the workplace” okay. i don’t think any workplace should be dictating what you can and can’t do with your body either and i think it’s strange to decide to teach children that their body is not their own

My dad was always worried about me having lots of facial piercings and coloured hair because he thought I'd never get a job, and I always told him I didn't want to work somewhere I'd be judged so harshly. I've been a working professional for over 10 years now and I've never had a problem getting a job.

In my experience, a workplace that has harsh rules or policies like this, or says something about your looks in an interview is a glaring red flag that tells you there's more toxic shit under the surface you can't see but will be hit in the face with down the line. The places that don't care have been the greatest places I've worked, from the coworkers, management, and pay.

Lemmings don't jump off of cliffs unless they're being chased. Frogs don't stay in boiling water unless they've been lobotomized first. Crabs don't pull each other back into the bucket unless they are desperately and randomly grabbing for anything to try to get themselves out, out of fear for their lives.

Actions taken in specific, negative conditions don't exemplify the nature of all beings.

no-one asked but my brain is rlly hooked on the idea that kitetsu's curse has worked on zoro but he just. always comes back. his heart stopping for long enough to count as dying from whatever from brutal fight we see him face in different arcs but he always comes back. unstoppable force (kitetsu's generations-long curse) meets immovable object (zoro's will to live)
