the intertitle is a bit misleading: a few us radio stations did ban it from play, though most didn’t (it even got a sizable amount of play from college stations). BUT the bigger issue was that every US record label refused to distribute it for a very long time, forcing the artists to travel in Europe in order to get it produced and forcing people in the US to rely on reimporting the music from Europe. and this also forced many stations which didn’t ban it from play to not play it anyway, as they couldn’t source copies to play!
