Hey like.... Did you ever stop to think about how genderbends assign all these traits to genders? Like making hair longer, or more "feminine" clothing?

I’ll say this only once. I’m doing the genderbend bmc characters after various requests, I didn’t do it until now exactly because of arguments like this.I don’t have intention to offend anyone. I don’t think that only girls can have long hair or wear dresses or make up or whatever. I’m having fun with character design.  If I had to go “politically correct” and doing for example a female Michael Mell without changing anything about the previous design… Then why should I do it in the first place? Where’s the fun in it? Like, someone wrote that making him female was “lazy, just make him trans”. What? So changing the design is lazy? Because if I had to draw a trans Michael it would be just regular Michael.There are literally hundreds of AUs with every combination of different ideas with the characters, their sexuality, identity and everything else. Why is this so unacceptable?I’m not degrading any gender, I’m just thinking how a character would look like in a different context. It’s my imagination, if you have a different idea there’s no need to argue about this. Take a pencil and draw it yourself! I’m not the official artist for BMC, everyone who has their own idea is free to make it true!

I hope I made clear my point because I won’t answer any other ask about this.

Yes! I agree with all of this! Also I always thought that genderbend implicitly worked with the premise that the character was born in the other gender and was cis so you have to maintain their personality through the change, that's why a lot of the time you have girls with short hair turn into males with long hair and stuff like that. Anyway tumblr can be really annoying about gender and get oddly fetishistic about trans people.
