I just turned off the submit post option on my blog because an anonymous user keeps submitting a weird video that may have to do with delirium in general, but not Delirium by Lauren Oliver. 😂

“Impossible. I close my eyes and reopen them: the boy from a dream, from a different lifetime. A boy brought back from the dead.
Alex.”
AU. In which Alex & Lena do escape to the Wilds after being chased.

June 4 - Friendship
Normally I’m the friend that recommends books to everyone but my friend Meg recommended the Delirium trilogy to me a few years ago. Since then it’s become one of my all time favorite series and I’ve gotten to meet Lauren Oliver and have her sign my copies! Thanks to friendship I’ve discovered so many fantastic books!
His eyes are exactly the color of early-morning sky. When he smiles, I think he is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

“It’s me, Alex. Lena. Your Lena. Remember? Remember 37 Brooks, and the blanket we used to keep in the backyard—” “Don’t,” he says. His voice breaks on the word. “And I always beat you in Scrabble,” I say. I have to keep talking, and keep him here, and make him remember. “Because you always let me win. And remember how we had a picnic one time, and the only thing we could find from the store was canned spaghetti and some green beans? And you said to mix them—” “Don’t.” “And we did, and it wasn’t bad. We ate the whole stupid can, we were so hungry. And when it started to get dark you pointed to the sky, and told me there was a star for every thing you loved about me.”
I know that the whole point—the only point—is to find the things that matter, and hold on to them, and fight for them, and refuse to let them go.

“How can someone have the power to shatter you to dust—and also to make you feel so whole?”

“I guess that’s just part of loving people: You have to give things up. Sometimes you even have to give them up.”
I said, I prefer the ocean when it’s gray. Or not really gray. A pale, in-between color. It reminds me of waiting for something good to happen.

Take it from me: If you hear the past speaking to you, feel it tugging at your back and running its fingers up your spine, the best thing to do—the only thing—is run.

I think it’s nearly been a year since I’ve posted on this blog. I miss it! But I’m currently in the middle of writing an art history research paper for my finals. This is the last week of the school year for me though. I might be a little more active here in the summer. :) I have a link I wanted to share in my next post.
