Hi Lena, I'm sorry if this is stupid but I rly dk anyone I can ask abt this personally. I've identified/been raised as female my whole life, but very recently I've been feeling like I'm more comfortable being nb. I haven't had the courage to tell ppl yet, including my cishet partner who tends to feel strange/confused around my queerness (I also identify as pan). I'm trying to first sort out my internal dilemmas abt being nb before I try to tell ppl. - Anon Wren (1/3)
Hi Anon Wren, sorry that I didn’t see your messages earlier! It’s totally okay to question your gender. If you feel like enby is a better description for your at the moment, then use it. If you change your mind later, that’s okay, too! It’s a process. And no matter how you identify, you are still allowed to present femme. You can do what ever you want! :) Gender expression is not tied to gender identity. You don’t owe anyone anything. Just do what makes YOU happy! <3 About your partner: I know how you feel - it’s a complicated issue. I think you have expose him to queer content very slowly. Start with basic stuff and when you feel like he gets it, dive deeper, until you can talk about your feelings around gender with him. Hope that helps you! <3 Love, BoPoLena
hello person. thank you for doing what you do and creating so much art that’s so inclusive :) thank you for being here and supporting lgbt+ !! it means a lot :,)
Thank you so much for your kind words! I really appreciate it. :) <3
Our body is our home. We will spend our whole life in it. It is an amazing, mysterious and wonderful thing. And everyone should have the freedom to be their own boss over their body! Or their own best body buddy. What ever you prefer. 😊❤ Your body should belong to you and no one else! No one else should be able to decide what is best for your body! 👏 You deserve bodily autonomy! 👏 Your body belongs to you! 👏 And we have to keep fighting for it! We have little to loose and so much to gain! 💪

Intersex people are born with atypical sex characteristics: it relates to a range of variations in sex autonomy. That is, physical variations in chromosomes, gonads, sex hormones or genitals. Many different forms of intersex exist; it is an umbrella term, rather than a single category. Some intersex people identify within a binary gender system. Some see themselves outside of any binary - biological and identity wise. For more info, go on YouTube an look for “What is Intersex? (Pt1)” by Hans Lindahl. You have the power over your own identity! No one else can tell you who you are and who you're supposed to be! You are the only one who can figure that out. 💪It doesn't matter how you look like. It doesn't matter what you've got between your legs. It doesn't matter what kinds of hormones you have or take. It doesn't matter what gendered chromosomes you have. You are you and you are awesome! Be yourself. 😘💖 I'm doing these weekly BoPo illustrations for free in order to help others and to spread positivity. Intersex rights are human rights! Listen to intersex people and what they have to say! Treat them with respect, their experiences are important and valid! And stop surgeries on intersex babies! Thanks.
This post is connected to my last one. But here’s a short summary for you: No unnecessary surgeries on intersex babies! 😡 Let intersex babies be intersex! 😤 They don't need to be "fixed"! And their genitals are fine the way they are! We don't need no cisheteronormative genital mainstreaming! All private parts are different and unique - and that's awesome and beautiful!!! 💜💛💜 This is image 23 of my intersex body positivity series. WHAT IS INTERSEX? I already said it once but I'm gonna say it again: here and now, in our time and age, babies that are born intersex get put under the knife in order to reshape (and sometimes completely remove) parts of their genitals just because they don't fit into stereotypical definitions of male and female genitals! These babies are not sick. These babies won't develope cancer or any other life threatening desease (even tho some doctors still tell these kind of lies to the baby's parents). These babies are healthy and don't need any kind of operations! And these surgeries are HARMFUL!!! They are an unecassary risk! And will propably scar the intersex person emotionally and psychologically! How would you feel if you'd find out that you didn't have a clit anymore because the doctors thought it looked too big and removed it completely?!?!?! How would you feel if you'd found out that you once had testicals but the doctors removed them 'cause they thought it would be easier to make you look like a girl than a boy down there?!?!? WHAT THE FUCK??? This angers me so SO much!!! Stop surgeries on intersex babies! It's WRONG! This is image 22 of my intersex body positivity series. WHAT IS INTERSEX? Hair loss is a topic that concerns a lot of us. Some lose their hair because of hormone therapy, some because of strong meds they have to take, some because of hormone imbalances in their body and for some it's just in their genes. Most can't really do much against it, which feels scary when you realise it starts happening. But I want you all to know that it's absolutely okay to lose hair. You are still beautiful and worthy of so so much love! <3 This is image 21 of my intersex body positivity series. WHAT IS INTERSEX? PCOS anon. Maybe have a girl with thin hair a bit hairier like on the arms some acne chubby and it says “Women with PCOS are still women.” PCOS causes thin hair, acne, hair in places some women don’t typically get it (like facial hair) and weight gain.
Love that. Thanks for the suggestion. I’m gonna put that on my list. :)
i like your nonbinary positivity art but i think you should censor either all breasts or none, the censorship suggests to me one is sexualized while the other isn't. just my opinion you don't have to
In the beginning nothing was cencored at all but my posts got flagged so I did what I had to do, to make them visible for other users again. :/ To see the original versions of these illustrations, you can check out my Instagram tho: www.instagram.com/bopolena
I saw your master posts on non-binary body positivity, and I just wanted to thank you for the message and the amazing illustrations. They made me tear up. I don't have an androgynous body shape, it's just not how my bones grew and I don't want to change it just for others to respect my identity; so thank you for making me feel valid today 💛
You are welcome! ^-^ Thanks so much for sharing your story! <3 *hug*
I just wanted you to know that both your art about being intersex & nonbinary meant a lot to me. I never see any real positivity for being intersex and I’m nonbinary as well and while there’s positivity for that yours just means a lot to me
Awww! Thanks so much for your nice message! <3 I’m so glad I could help you with my art! ^-^
