And yes, this is similar to the painting where it all started, but still a bit more.. evolved? grown up?

Each of the three pieces just grew organically.. there was no plan, apart of the main colour, and it grew from there to the end result.

Something more personal: I am desperate do get my art out there. I wish for it to be seen, to see the reaction of people seeing my art. Probably a selfish wish. However, on the same note, I am SO anxious to post art online. Or advertise it. This is why there are always huge time gaps between posts. It is just so hard to try to get it out there. What I create is an important part of me. Which is probably also the reason why it is so hard to share.

Does it feel cold?

The colours and lights of nature are absolutely stunning. And trying to capture their feeling is just fun. I know sunsets are an old cliche - but this is not going to stop me to just paint them over and over again, I just love them too much. Might be boring, but it's not for me :)

Sitting at the seaside experiencing one of these colourful, bright and stunning sunsets, the sound of waves calming your thoughts, it's been too long...

I hope you all have a wonderful new year! It's a busy time right now, and I have actually not be creating anything new since a good while - but's thats okay, times change and creating itself is not everything. However, I still have a good amount art to share! Some pieces are of course not my favorites, but eh, I'll just share them in the next couple of weeks anyway. More often than not my own opinion of my paintings differ widely from others anyway. And on another note, I got some of my paintings professionally photographes, just to see the difference, and it's huge! Let's see what I can do with this!

It's been a while, hasn't it? Life has been a bit hectic the last couple of months, so didn't find the time to upload paintings. However, I have still been quite productive! So there are many pieces that are just waiting to be shared! Anyway, in this painting I wanted to capture the feeling of live glowing from a forest, playing with light on the canvas. It's again quite different from my usual landscape paintings, but you'll see more virety from me soon anyway :)

When I painted this piece, I just played around with primary colours and my pallet knifes just going with the flow. And I am happy where it took me!

Something completely unrelated to art: I managed to finish my PhD last week 🎉

Ivercaimbe Beach - aiming to capture the magical play of light and sea. I treasure many cheerful childhood memories of this truly beautiful beach. Swimming in the sea, climbin at rocks, and many many hours of just watching the most stunning sunsets I have ever seen. I am truly happy to share this very personal painting!

capturing the beauty of a peaceful landscape..

I am trying to stretch my "backlock" out a bit more. I have a not art related, big event next week, so I am not creating much at the moment, just sketches here and there. I might share some of these at some point, let's see, however their are far from polished.

Hi again! So far, I have been STUNNED by my experience of the last couple of days on tumblr! I know it's not even close to much, but it's a whole different world than any of the other socials I tried, were not even my followers really got to see my posts. Once in a while I posted again, but it wasn't really a joyful experience.

In just a couple of days I got more interactions here than in years elswhere, and I am truly happy about this.

Once my backlog of paintings that I really want to share is gone out, I am going to post way less often - especially since it's quite a stressfull time for me. However, this experience, and all of you who like, reblog and comment on my art, is really a boost of motivation! So, THANK YOU!

I believe that art is meant to be visible, to be able to be seen.

Of course not to be liked by everyone, but that's more than okay!
