My brother noticed this on Arrested Development - Baghdad is written left to right, with disconnected letters, even though Arabic is written right to left, with connected letters...this looks nothing like the actual word. How does this happen on a major television show? This example is more benign...but comes from the same reason so many shows get away with things like making cities in Lebanon look like 7th century Arabia when they actually have A Starbucks on nearly every corner like here. Not enough diversity in writers/directors/producers, not enough effort made for cultural accuracy. #tv #arresteddevelopment #writing #diversity @asim77
