I just saw the absolute cutest puppy today and now I feel an overwhelming urge to get one. You don’t understand how cute this little baby was, my god! I want twenty of them. It was so fluffy and soft, and it’s little face!! Oh, I just love dogs.

Olivia shrugged. “To be honest, I only applied to the first two to send a message to my mother. She thought that I could’t possibly get in without having the 4.0 that I did for Freshman and sophomore year. I ended up staying in Charleston, against her better wishes. School’s really the only thing I’ve ever been ‘good’ at, and even then, I wasn’t always great. Getting into colleges isn’t the most important part of your life. I’m sure you have plenty of other talents.”

Lena looked over at Olivia “4.0? i had a 3.5... anyways people say i can sing pretty well. I’m not very sure that’s true though.”

“I only applied to a few. But I got into all of them. Let’s see … Cornell, George Washington, College of Charleston, William and Mary …. and I might be missing one more?”

“thats pretty cool you got into all of them! i didn’t get into all the ones i applied to..”

“High school was … rough. To put it nicely. I made some mistakes, my grades slipped…my mom was surprised I got into some of the colleges I did by senior year.”

“high school was okay for me. not great but not terrible. What colleges did you get into if you don’t mind me asking?’
