Visitor center at Park Vijversburg is positioned next to the historical villa of the Park. Park Vijversburg was established in the 19th century and contains a rich history of flora and fauna. A historical villa is centrally placed in the park.
Throughout the year, the park hosts many events such as international exhibitions of contemporary art, musical performances, church services and excursions. A Dutch team of LOLA Landscape, Deltavormgroep and Piet Oudolf designed a 15 hectares extension to the park. Tobias Rehberger was selected to create a second park extension including several new works of art.

“Three main ethnic groups have shaped the development of the city of Brno since the 13th century –Slavs/Czechs, Germans, and Jews. While frequently far from harmonious, their coexistence has been highly productive, leaving a number of traces, visible and not, forming the collective memory of our city. The pavilion covers all historical layers of this place ”

Charleroi, Phénix 4.8 quays of Charleroi, Escaut, 2010-2015
The project, realized in momentary association with the V+ office, includes the redevelopment of the banks of the Sambre (Phenix4) and the creation of a footbridge (Phenix 8). Next to the cobbles of the 19th century city, a clear concrete plain, pierced by leafy eruptions,is open to the water and invites passers-by to slow down, stroll and play. The project goes beyond the identified intervention zone with the aim of strengthening the urban routes that develop along this waterway. By using simple procedures, the cost per square meter has been severely reduced. This made it possible to double the intervention area and to integrate substantially the whole of the quays into the city. On the basis of the program that was established by the city of Charleroi, the project develops as a shared space, open to all users, with a privilege for the most vulnerable. The project is primarily dedicated to relaxation and soft traffic, but however able to slow vehicles (20km/h) for local use, reserved for residents and traders present on the site.
