everyone's always complaining about how hard it is to deal with teenagers as an educator but at least teens generally tend to listen when you tell them not to terrorize an aquarium animal. little kids want to grab a funny sea pancake so bad and will furiously splash the water until they get to. and then i gently but firmly remind them not to do that and they go huh... wonder who that crazy lady with the mic is talking to... splashasplashasplashasplash

an interesting fin configuration on this angelfish! sometimes you see instances where fin rays have been broken but not snapped off, and heal bent to the side. but i've never seen anything like that where there was a perfectly normal fin there as well. what a unique little dude.
