Lennon nodded, biting at her bottom lip as she listened to everything he said. She would do exactly what he’d told her to and hope beyond hope that Ben was right and that it wouldn’t come to her having to give the bracelet back. Hopefully she didn’t mess things up too terribly and Quinn would eventually unblock her or talk to her in class or something again. “I will, Daddy.” She said softly, looking up at him. “Only if you’ll be in there too. Ben didn’t day anything else on it. It was clear she just wanted comfort, so he was willing to do just that. So there was no more questions being asked. All he could do was simply listen to her as she rambled on, rubbing her back and holding her for as long as she wanted. 

“Daddy?” She asked after laying against him for awhile. Her heart still broken but feeling a little more calm in his arms. “If I send a letter to Quinn and she says she wants her bracelet back, will you give it to her? I don’t know how else to get it to her. I can’t leave it outside her door, someone might take it...” She whispered, biting at her lip as she played with the beautiful silver around her wrist. She didn’t want to give it back but it wasn’t hers to keep if Quinn really never wanted to speak to her again.

Ben didn’t know what to take of this. He got the sense that Quinn could be aloof if she wanted to be but never would have thought that she would act that way with Lennon, which only made him more curious about what Lennon was holding back. “I’m not going to force you to tell me, but there’s not much I can do to help if you won’t tell me what’s going on.” He sighed and ran his fingers through Lennon’s short hair. “That being said, if you don’t know what you did and she won’t tell you, that’s more on her than on you.” 

Lennon continued to sob into his shirt, clutching at the fabric like it was her only lifeline. “No, please. I can’t...I don’t even know, but I can’t.” She shook her head. “It’s between her and me, I guess, but it still hurts. I hate upsetting her. I feel like...I feel like I do it all the time. I don’t know how to stop it.” She buried her face in his chest again, holding herself as close to Ben as she could. Her head was swimming not knowing how to talk about it without saying what it was but also knowing it wasn’t her story to tell.

From what Ben thought, it seemed like Lennon and Quinn got along amazingly, especially from what he witnessed on the trip. So this was certainly surprising for him to hear. “Sh sh sh,” he said soothingly, running his hand up and down her back as an attempt to calm her down. He wasn’t in any rush and allowed her to calm down a bit before following up. “What happened, baby girl? Why is she upset? What did you do?”

Lennon felt like something was squeezing her heart, or maybe something was sitting on her chest. She couldn’t quite figure out what it was, all she knew was that she was having trouble breathing, clutching to Ben’s shirt as he tried to soothe her. “I can’t...I can’t tell you, Daddy. I don’t think I was supposed to know. Or, find out, or...I don’t know. I still don’t know anything, all I know is I upset her and she told me to get out of her room and now she’s blocked my number and I can’t get a hold of her and I don’t know if she wants her bracelet back or not. I don’t want to give it back, but I don’t deserve to have something that doesn’t belong to me, especially if she hates me now. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know”

I don’t know how else to talk to you and honestly, I don’t think you’ll ever want to speak to me again. It’s okay if you don’t, I understand. Well, I don’t but I’ll try to understand because I know I can be a lot and sometimes I do things that upset people. I know I’ve upset you so so much. This is the third time. I’ve always been told, three strikes and your out, so I guess that means I’m out. I’m really sorry. I wish I could take it back, take back all the times I ever upset you and especially take back ruining the beautiful picture. I don’t know who is in the picture and honestly, it’s not my place to know. Just know that it’s a beautiful picture, no matter who is in it.

I love my bracelet so much, but I’d understand if you wanted it back. I don’t know how to get it to you, but I suppose if you did want it back you could maybe just put a note under my door saying “Yes” and I’ll package it up and give it to you. I don’t want to keep something that doesn’t belong to me, especially if you don’t feel the same way you did about me. I’m sorry if I messed it all up, it was never ever my intention. I miss you and I wish I could fix it but I honestly don’t even know where to begin, other than telling you how sorry I am for everything. I don’t want to ask you to forgive me because it’s not up to me, but I miss you and I’ll leave it at that.

Ben didn’t know what was going on with Lennon, but he chalked it off to what was happening before. And perhaps it was a mistake, but he didn’t want to be overbearing because the last thing he wanted to do if they were going to make this a forever thing was be too dependent on him. So he gave her time. And it seemed to work out alright since she was reaching out now. At least that’s what he thought until he saw the state of Lennon as she knelt at his door. Ben clicked his tongue and leaned down to scoop her up in his arms. The closed the door behind him before taking him straight into the living room. He continued to hold her in his lap, turning off the television so he could better focus on her. Pulling her back from his chest, he cupped her face in both of his hands so he could better look at her. “What happened, baby?” 

Lennon let Ben pick her up, cleaning to the collar of his shirt as he moved quickly toward the couch. She didn’t even know where to start and really, she didn’t even know if she should say anything. The way Quinn reacted seemed to mean it was a secret of some kind, that’s the only thing she could piece together. She bit her bottom lip, trying her hardest not to cry anymore, enough tears had been shed since, but it was no use, as soon as she opened her mouth tears fell again. “I upset Quinn...again. I don’t know what to do, I think she really hates me this time.” She sobbed against him.

Lennon was feeling out of sorts since everything had happened with Quinn. She still had no idea who the newborn was or which Fabray sibling was holding them. Honestly, it probably didn’t matter since she knew she’d crossed that line with Quinn and now she felt like there was literally no turning back. She’d kept herself hidden for the better part of the week as best as she could, only coming out of her room when it was absolutely necessary. Thankfully she still didn’t have a roommate, which made it that much easier for her to hide away from the rest of the world. However, today she was feeling particularly down, especially after she’d tried to text Quinn only to find that she’d blocked her number. Now she knew it was over, she’d messed up for the last time with her and it would never be the same. Thankfully Ben wasn’t doing anything and although she wasn’t sure she wanted to talk about it or even if she could, she needed to get out of her room and out of her head. Her hair was a mess, thrown up in a ponytail on top of her head, eyes bloodshot from crying and dark circles under her eyes indicating she hadn’t been sleeping well. The brunette didn’t even take stock in what she was wearing, walking to Ben’s room in sweatpants and an oversized sweatshirt, forgetting that it was still winter outside. Once she arrived at the Dominant’s room she knelt, knocking softly, her head bowed down as she worried her lip.

Quinn looked down at the photograph that had seen better days even before she snatched it from Lennon’s hands to see a tear that was now pulling Beth’s soft face in two different directions and she felt a hole in her chest start to form. It was the only picture she had of Beth, the only picture her mother had taken and that her father had allowed to keep. The sentimental value of it made it mean more to her anything and maybe even anyone. And now it was ruined. She looked at Lennon and she didn’t even care if the other submissive was affected by what just happened. It was maybe the first time she didn’t care about Lennon and not hurting her feelings. “Get out.” Her cold voice broke the silence. “Get outta my fuckin’ room, Lennon.”

Lennon’s body was cold as she stood unmoving, head down, but her face hot with shame. She nodded, biting at her lip to try to keep the tears at bay. She knew she’d messed up, probably beyond repair. She played with the bracelet around her wrist and thought for a second that she should give it back, feeling like this would be the last time her and Quinn would ever speak again. “I’m sorry.” She whispered, her voice breaking as she nodded and walked quickly out of the room, tears falling fast as soon as the door closed and she hurried to her own to lock herself away.

“I wouldn’t say I’m cold to be back considering it’s still the middle of winter, but I’m probably more glad to be out of that storm than anything else really.” She shrugged her shoulders. She couldn’t say she would be going to any private islands any time soon and she might honestly take being stuck in the snow over being stuck in the middle of an intense storm like that ever again. There was silence as Quinn moved around her small room, placing things back where they belonged and coming to the conclusion that her stuff would just ever fit in this tiny shoebox of a room when Lennon’s voice broke through the silence. Her head turned to look over her shoulder and her green eyes locked on the picture in the other girl’s hand. “Put that down.” Quinn spoke through gritted teeth before she didn’t waste any time snatching the picture from her hands, the corners of the already frayed image tearing a little more. 

Lennon smiled at the blonde as she spoke, moving around the room while putting things away. She carefully pulled things out of the other’s suitcase so that she could put them away properly, knowing she didn’t know where anything went and she’d want them put away correctly had it been her. The way Quinn spoke after she’d asked about the picture made her heart sink, her body running cold as she let go of the picture, watching it tear more than it already had. “I’m...I’m so sorry. Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry, Quinn. I...” She didn’t know what else to say, heat rising in her cheeks as her honey brown eyes looked down at the floor, upset with herself that she’d ruined the beautiful picture more than it already was. How many times would she upset the blonde before she decided she didn’t want to spend any time with her again?

Quinn playfully rolled her eyes though the other submissive couldn’t see it. “I’m in my room.” She called out to her as she continued to unload her suitcase. She’d managed to get the first one done and quickly moved on the second one. “Hey. Do you mind helping me with that last bag?” It was her smaller carry on and it shouldn’t take Lennon too long unpacking it if she chose to help. Quinn was hoping that she would since the quicker she was done with all of this, the sooner they could get on to whatever the night had in store for the both of them.

Lennon smiled as she heard the girl’s voice coming from the bedroom. She quickly skipped in and found Quinn putting her clothes away. She’d already done that, not being able to wait to do it, so helping the other was nothing. She nodded with a smile toward the blonde, starting to take out odds and ends from the small carry on bag. “Are you glad to be back? I know I am. It was fun until it wasn’t and then I just wanted to get back to everything familiar, you know?” She asked as she took out a bag of toiletries. There was something stuck underneath everything on one of those straps that kept the stuff inside from moving around too much. She pulled at the piece of paper as she listened to the blonde talk, pulling it out and studying the imagine. “Is this you?” She asked, studying the picture of a girl that looked an awful lot like Quinn but could really be any of her sisters, and a newborn.

While hadn’t been looking forward to getting back to the snow and the colder weather, she was grateful to be out the storm that had caused her so much anxiety and the reason she had been so vulnerable. She was happy to get back to normal life and her usual routine. And that meant spending time with Lennon. The girl was forgiving and she didn’t seem to be holding what Quinn had done on the island against her. Quinn opened her suitcase at the foot of her bed, finally deciding now was as good a time as any to unpack and get her room back in order. She hummed softly to herself as she tossed things of her dirty clothes hamper and placed things back in her drawer, waiting for Lennon to arrive.

Lennon didn’t need to do much to get ready to go see Quinn since she lived in the same building. She liked that, being able to see Quinn whenever she wanted to. Well, whenever Quinn wanted to really. She smiled as she walked down the hallway to the girl’s room, knocking once before letting herself in. “Honey, I’m hommmeee” She sing songed as she walked into the room.
