Aw, damn it!
[Leo pouted, looking down at the books which had just fallen from his hold. He had been walking across the courtyard, arms laden with books from the library, but now he could only look down at the haphazardly spread books on the ground, tugging at the cuffs of his gloves to make sure that they hadn't slipped at all.]Ā Fuckin' books.
[Annelie was hesitant to sit down next to the dark haired boy, not knowing wether or not her instincts about him were accurate. Something about the way he was thinking told her he wanted to talk, and she was always willing to make a new friend. She sat down on the opposite end of the bench, hoping she wasnāt being too forward. She was surprised when he spoke. His accent wasnāt what sheād been expecting.]
Hallo. [Annelie spoke through a think Danish accent, offering the older boy a smile] Iām sorryā¦ [She hesitated, wondering if this had been a mistake.] ā¦But you sounded as though you wanted some company.
[Leo noticed the girl almost as soon as she had sat across from him - how could he not notice her? He smiled, though his eyebrows raised slightly when he heard her thick accent. Leo was, of course, used to accents, having grown up in Texas, and then his time at Nightshade meant he had encountered many different accents, but he did sometimes have trouble with the more unusual ones.]Ā I, uh, sounded like I wanted company? My 'hello' really gave that much away, huh?Ā [He chuckled, still watching the girl with a small smile.]
Leo, nice to meet you, Iām Jaxon. Youāve never tried earl grey, really?! Itās one of my favourites, but really Iāve never had a tea I didnāt like, so.. [he flagged down a waitress] Hey, could I get an extra cup for him?Ā
Ā One thing about here, always freaking cold [he sipped his tea] Come here often?
Pleasure to meet'cha, Jaxon. I was always more of a coffee fan, I gotta admit, but I'm... open to tryin' different tea, I guess.Ā [Leo grinned, watching the waitress nod and leave, then turning to Jaxon as he continued to speak. The cup was placed in front of him soon after and Leo filled it - a little cautious about whether he would like it or not.]
Definitely, I used to get pretty good weather, and now it's just, awful.Ā [He sipped his tea, the heat from the cup seeping through his gloves to warm his fingers even more.] That's pretty nice, actually. I don't come to the Teahouse that much, but I think I'm gonna have'ta. I'm often 'round here though. What 'bout you? Number one customer?
[Seraph enjoyed being outside, he never knew what kinds of animals or plants that he would run into or find, but there was something that he had come to realize about Nightshade. No matter where he went, there was a 95% chance that he would run into a human. Seraph had never seen the boy before and decided to sit across from him and introduce himself.]
[Seraph smiled at the others accent.] How are you doing on a lovely day such as this?
[Leo was honestly surprised by the other male's polite attitude towards him - he wondered how long that would last.] I'm pretty good, thanks, how're you darlin'?
[Clause looked up from his seat. He noticed the other and stared at him for a quick moment. Wondering if he had seen the boy before.]
Ohā¦ Hello.Ā
[Leo watched as the other male seemed to be looking at him in curiosity, before he replied to Leo.] Uh, if y'all were searchin' for peace, sorry. If not, hey, I'm Leo.
[Being alone a lot of the time provided Leo with many things: peace and quiet, a sense of security, and the knowledge that he could be free of the damn gloves covering his hands. Today was not one of the days Leo could be alone, though he tried even as he walked down the busy corridor and into the grounds of Nightshade. Outside was quieter, and he was able to find a bench, on which he could sit and study in peace, until there was movement in the corner of his eye and he realised somebody had sat on the opposite end of the bench. Eyeing them suspiciously, he quickly realise that he didn't know the person, and debated whether to speak. Maybe they had been in search of solitude, too.] Hello.Ā [His Southern accent was thick as he spoke, breaking through the sounds of nature and dulled voices coming from other students within the building.]
The school, yeah thatās where Iāve seen you. Youāreā¦ sorry, man, I donāt remember your name.. [sipped his tea] You look cold, do you want some tea? Itās earl grey [he pointed to the teapot thenĀ looked around] Iām sure I can get an extra cup
Leo - Leo's my name. Hey, I don't know your name either, so, guess there ain't any point in apologisin', huh?Ā [Leo glanced down at the teapot, before smiling and giving a slight nod.] Sure, thanks; I've never tried that before, but it sure does look like it'd warm a guy up. Ā [He chuckles and sits down on the other seat, rubbing his gloved hands together in hopes of warming up a little.]
[Jaxon sat at an outside table at the Teahouse, sipping on a cup of earl grey. It was cold as always. He was watching the steam from the tea trail up towards the sky when he noticed someone he recognized walk past him]Ā Hey, I know you from somewhereā¦ Have we met?
[Leo walked through the street avoiding as many people as he could - really, he wanted to find somewhere a little warmer to get out of the chilly air. He was so very close to the door of Talia's Teahouse, he could practically feel the warmth radiating out into the street, when he heard a voice. Glancing over his shoulder, he realised the voice was coming from a male, presumably only a couple of years older than himself, and the voice was directed towards Leo. After the small pause, he finally spoke.]
Maybe? I think I've seen ya' 'round school before.
