Thanks, Leo. The only thing the McCarthy family knows is dedication so that’s why we are always the best and strive to be even better than that. Anyways, I’m sure that’ll be totes fine. I’ll run it by Sue but since the reigns are in my hands I say yes.

The dedication is definitely noticeable. Sounds great. I’ll be in Lima until December for sure. I’m finishing my applications for classes starting in January and depending on where I get accepted and the delivery of the program, I could be here, or close to here, for a bit.

Leo: I've heard there are some great hikes around Lima. I haven't been on one myself, but I've been out running and exploring a fair bit. A perk of not having to work at the moment.

Leo: Such as? I'm doing a bit of the same. I have some applications to finish up, I'm going to take some classes starting in January, just a matter of settling on when?

It’s wild right? I’ve never really tapped into that part of me before, it’s refreshing. Especially when life can feel like it’s going one hundred miles an hour.

I bet it can feel like that a lot in your line of work. But at least you know how to refresh a bit.

[PM:] It has its ups and downs, that’s for sure, but every job does, honestly. Those are all good people, you’ve chosen your company wisely, I see. I might have to look into making the trip up there a yearly thing, especially if you and some of the others are interested in it again. I didn’t even really scrape the surface of some of the more family friendly things to do in the area.

I’m hanging in there. It’s been a bit of a week, so I think I’m looking forward to the weekend a little more than usual.

[PM:] It’s true. But when I think about what you’re doing, and some of what educators have to deal with, while still instilling the value and importance of education in kids, it boggles the mind. Definitely nothing to complain about with this company. I’m still considering where my life goes from here, although I am considering classes nearby starting in January, I have to decide and finish my applications by the end of August, but I’d come back for a trip like this, if I wasn’t here, and I could. I did do a little exploring and research of the area, and there really doesn’t seem to be a shortage of things to do if you’re open to it.

Take care of yourself Blaine. I hope the weekend proves to be rejuvenating.

Leo: ... to be clear, we're not exactly discussing those terms. But gender neutral honorifics and the like. I guess it might be a precursor to that conversation. That I wouldn't mind having with him.

Monica: Absolutely. Really, the world would be a lot better if we didn't have to constantly gender things. Bathroom doors? Most of the time when people have to go, all they care about is whether they can have a clean stall and not about who's in the one next to them. But I digress.

Monica: I meant hypothetically it being something that people can call me that I can also call someone else.

Monica: Oh, no I wasn't trying to do that... I was just trying to get an opinion. There's unfortunately not that many people here in Lima I can really talk to these things about and my online groups have people from various timezones so it's just nice to be able to talk to someone that I personally know?

Monica: Trust me, I'm not generally concerned with the opinions of other people. A relationship is between two people (or three or more if it's polyamorous) and not the whole world. I just shrug off most of Jasmine's words because I know she's just stirring shit up since she has nothing else to report on.

Monica: That's still so cute though...

Monica: If it does become an actual conversation, though, maybe there could be hypothetical double dates in the future?

Leo: Ditto.

Leo: Lol, okay. I got you.

Leo: It's completely fine. I get it. And sometimes it's nice to think these kind of things out loud with someone else first, but it's probably a conversation best had between the two people in the relationship. Hypothetically.

Leo: Polyamorous... I wouldn't claim that label myself, but I've been more open at times, than most people seem to be, and understanding that maybe there are needs my partner could have that I'm unable to meet.

Leo: Mhm. Fair point. It does tend to be that way.

Leo: He's cute. Is that weird? For me to say that about your brother?

Leo: I am completely on board for double dates with good friends. I've already talked to other people about cute double date ideas. Unless it would be too weird for you or Ross to be on double dates together....

I got to spend some time with the Berry twins, Monica and Ross, as well and some others. But it was a really nice area and I could see myself visiting often. I’d love to see it changed too, friend. And I mean, I do work at the hospital, but as a receptionist so I doubt that would count to get me in whatever program I’d need to get into. I think I just probably need to settle my expectations at this point. I don’t hate my job, after all. But you’ll have to keep me updated on where you go! Best of luck to you with it all, Leo.

I think that depends on what you’d like to go into. Office admin can be very flexible. Is your plan to stay at the hospital as a receptionist though? I don’t know anyone that would begrudge you looking for something you might enjoy more. I will let you know where I decide to go, but so far, it’s a work in progress. Thanks Devon.

“Yes you, you’re the only Clarington here.” He patted the stool next to him indicating that Milo wanted them to sit down, and maybe have a drink or two and have a conversation. “Trouble?” Milo laughed, they weren’t wrong, Milo was trouble, always has been. “Well I’m here, just got off work. Thankfully I’m getting a lot more opening shifts, mostly because the girl who usually opens for us just kinda quit on the spot.” Milo shrugged, the store had always been like that. When he worked there in high school a lot of people did it then too, must have just been the nature of retail. “Let me get you a drink. Whatever you want.”

Leo laughed. “That appears to be true in this case.” They sat down on the stool next to Milo. “Sure, isn’t that what you told me you get up to when you come out? Figured it would be an apt name.” They nodded their head. “Seems like someone might have been looking out for you then; having her up and quit so you could get more opening shifts. I imagine that curbs your nights out a little though, or no?” Leo lifted their drink. “I still have one. Let me get you a drink. What’s your poison?”
