Welcome to #LEOLACERI... this is a highly selective and mutually exclusive roleplay blog for JAIME LANNISTER from the asoiaf series. est. april 2014 and rebooted in 2019. This blog is mainly BOOK BASED with some influences from the tv series (though i must admit my knowledge of the show is a bit spotty. I haven’t watched it in about 4 or 5 years.). 

Written by LUCAS (HE/HIM), You may know me as the mean Jaime.  This is a highly PRIVATE and highly SELECTIVE blog and priority will be given to close friends.  Do not interact with me if we are not mutuals. Jaime is on a constant SEMI-HIATUS. Like disappear and reappear randomly hiatus.  Please do not expect a lot of consistent activity

Like all of my muses, Jaime is an onion. There are layers. If you want Jaime to be a hero, or expect him to be represented as a troubled soul who has been dealt a bad hand (laughs), look elsewhere. he is complicated, yes, but he’s not what the show plays him out to be. i reject everything about the brienne storyline.

*AS A NOTE: i operate under exclusivity due to my inactivity. I don’t have time to form a lot of different dynamics. BUT this is not expected to be returned. it’s just a me thing.

Winterfell smells like dogs and mud, a hell made of frozen stone where the very air gathers like frost on the red hair of ned stark’s children, shaggy heads that speak of the wolves their house is named for. He wants to kill them, wants to tear down ned stark’s modest abode and robert baratheon’s drunken smile as well ... here for nothing but a dead woman, caught in the exile of old friendship and the flames of his sister’s wrath. Lovely. Boots tread carefully through muck that sucks at his boots as if the very ground itself is trying to keep him prisoner, but Jaime strides onwards, the curve of his lips sickly sweet. “Why, if it isn’t The Hound.” His grin widens, a sharp glint of teeth that warns of a lion tired of retracting its claws. “Fancy meeting you here. Did my sister send you to go on a rampage and save us all? Or are you merely bedding down with your fellow dogs?”

Green eyes study the other man, gaze unwavering as they settle across edward teague’s expression.  “What do I want?” The Keeper of the Code, Jaime had been told.. whatever the hell that meant... Now, sitting across from a haggard pirate who looks far too past his prime to be useful, the lannister can only hope the gods haven’t played a trick by leading him to the thieves lair. “ I was thinking you might help me pluck my brother from his cell before some headsman lops his head off.”  For the first time, he allows himself a smile, weight shifting as he leans further forward. “It’s an ugly head, I grant you, but he only has the one.”

The North’s Rose...Cersei had thrown a goblet of wine against the stone walls when she had heard Lyanna Stark had been found. Their father had whispered dreams of glory into her ear, hinted musings at what might be - he had thought no word of caution was necessary but Jaime had seen the light in his sweet sister’s eyes, the way nails dug crescent shaped marks into the sensitive skin of her palms with every utterance of it. Bride to the likes of Robert Baratheon... It made his own blood curdle to think of it ... but his hair had always curled about her head like a crown, and for fleeting moments he had been able to see jewels piled atop of it. A dream, nothing more. Cersei was robbed of her dream, and Jaime was bound in service to a boar of a man who deserved to bed pigs instead of the one he was given.

Now, the lion of lannister smiles slightly, golden armor catching the rays of sun like a knight from the stories. No other knights will be remembered, after me. “I have very important duties, Your Grace.” Green eyes settle across his queen’s expression, shoulders shrugging as if contemplating nothing of importance. Cersei would have his head if she knew, but he is a kingsguard .. and bound to an oath that even a lannister will keep. “Riding round the city walls, for an instance.”

His day has not been a particularly good one, a schedule full of one pompous asshat after another, an endless parade of men more daft than even the oaf that married his sister... and now Jaime Lannister stands in the company of one Jack Sparrow. A clever man with a sharp tongue, more cat than sparrow, he’s been a welcome change of company thus far, and Jaime gives a huff of laughter at the words that fall between them. Cutler Beckett... the name alone would be enough to send his father’s expression into a twitch, and that thought brings the eldest Lannister son more joy than he could ever begin to describe. But for now, he gives a simple shake of his head, tone one of careless boredom. Let the bastard hire all of MI-5 for all Jaime cares... “Whatever plans he makes, he will still be small and stunted.”

“Innocent or guilty...” Mud grips at his knees with strong fingers, naught but water and dirt that soaks through torn trousers and leaves an aching chill in the lion’s bones. Golden armor and golden hair, dulled by the stink of death and the stain of blood and no more glittering than the man who stands before him’s leather. A mailed fist strikes the back of his head, a heady thump like the flat of a blade that leaves Jaime reeling, but when the world rights itself once more, green eyes meet dark blue ones with something akin to a smile. “..a Lannister pays his debts.”

i’m making icons (again, fuck.) but i would like to shoot a quick drop that as mentioned in my pinned, i do tend to stick to exclusives, especially where close friends are concerned. I realize I don’t have anything written up as of yet and I will work on that as I figure it out how strict i will be with it ... but I do want to say that for the entire 9 years I have written Jaime, I have only ever written with one cersei. My portrayal, my understanding, my viewpoints of his character have all built up around my discussions with her and our various writings over the years. Due to that, I can’t imagine writing with another - I don’t feel it would be fair to any other portrayal because I immediately have her in mind when discussing that particular character in headcanons, metas, threads, etc. I know that can be a pain and I do apologize but if it’s not there, it’s not there .. and I would rather be up front about it. thank you for understanding !!

i’m done after this but !! i think this is a great example of a reminder to why we all need to be aware when writing in the asoiaf universe that the only time you know verbatim a character’s actions (and even then, there can be a personal spin) is during their pov chapters. asoiaf is full of unreliable narrators regarding other characters motives, thoughts, etc. We have to remember these characters are passing judgements of people just like we do in real life, judgments and opinions that filter through our own biases. You gotta dig, you gotta read between the lines, you gotta go nuts.

also i think it’s funny that in the first book robert is talking to ned and mentions what good is a crown? the gods mock the prayers of kings and cowherds both and later in the series during one of his chapters jaime sort of goes along the same line of thinking. 

On the morning after the battle, the crows had feasted on victors and vanquished alike, as once they had feasted on Rhaegar Targaryen after the Trident. How much can a crown be worth, when a crow can dine upon a king?
