𝓆𝓊𝒾𝒸𝓀 𝒻𝓊𝓃 𝒻𝒶𝒸𝓉𝓈: he’s 5′10, never actually met his 1 year old daughter, a natural charmer, closed off due to a lot going on in his head, his favorite color is gold, he takes his hair care very seriously, treats mixing drinks and working out as therapy, party drugs have turned into weekday drugs for him, he says nick from new girl is the TV version of him, he has a birth stone necklace that he wears that his mom gave him, and a stuffed animal he brought with him when he moved that he got from liliana in high school, he’s never been in a relationship before, he constantly puts his body at risk due to his heart issues and drug abuse, super generous and giving, always asking if you need anything even if he doesn’t have it for himself. he does know the daughters name is eliana amira maddox and that liliana gave her his last name against her parents wishes.
ＢＡＣＫＧＲＯＵＮＤ:
birth - pre-high school
leo grew up in atlanta, his family never having enough money for anything. a lot of that came from the insane amount of hospital bills they were still paying off throughout his youth because of the complications that occurred during his birth. leo was a premature birth and because of that he had a few complications that left him in the hospital for longer than his parents had planned for. on top of this, he had aortic stenosis that needed to be watched throughout the entirety of his childhood. most of the money that they obtained was from his dads illegal activities. in fact, when those activities escalated his dad ended up committing murder and becoming a wanted man. in an attempt to have one last trip with his family he took them on a road trip and didn’t tell them why. leo, only being six at the time, was the most excited. but once they got to a beach that was close to his dads heart, the cops surrounded the area and his dad tried to end his own life. his mom was too much in shock to stop the incident and that left six year old leo to talk his father out of suicide and going to jail instead.
the infamous ‘hole in his heart’ followed leo as he grew up. even though it wasn’t a huge threat to his health anymore, he grew up living up to that standard.
high school
when leo was old enough to work, he did just that. the bullying he endured from being a kid in poverty was no longer a factor now that he could provide for himself. he even helped his mom pay down their bills throughout his time in high school. in high school, leo played football and he played it well. between his part time job, attending parties that his teammates threw, and dating pretty much the entire school, leo didn’t have a complaint in the world. he wrote his dad often, a connection he was extremely private about. in tenth grade he met his best friend (liliana) who jokingly said she felt like he had a hole in his heart when they first met. instantly, leo opened up about his heart complications as a kid and the two were inseparable ever since. even though they were both into each other, leo couldn’t commit so he'd keep her at arms reach.
by senior year leo’s mom was struck by a hit and run driver while crossing the street. any hopes of going to college were shattered once leo realized he was completely on his own. at 18 his friends dad managed to get him a job as a bartender (even though he was too young to be handling alcohol). that’s when his drinking problems began, and the more time he spent in the bar the more he became familiar with other drugs.
post high school - current
once leo turned 21 he was tired of taking handouts from friends, drowning in debt, and drinking away his moms life insurance money. it was getting old and he needed a new environment. one day when hanging out with liliana she mentioned charleston and it became something engraved in his brain, yet, he didn’t pack up and leave right at that moment.
it wasn’t until he got evicted from the apartment him and his parents shared a year later, that he finally got wasted and bought his plane ticket to a brand new life. before leaving, though. he stopped at liliana’s house and FINALLY decided to take that extra step with her. sadly, he left that morning.
once he got to charleston, he was starting from scratch. the only thing he had to his name was his bartending experience. thankfully, the manager at a bar gave the kid a chance. not only did he prove to be a natural, he also excelled in taking care of the bar as well. and by the time he was 23 he became the bar manager.
leo has spent his time drinking, fucking, and smoking his way through the last few years of his life. he’s become content with managing the bar and having one night stands with any visitors that find themselves in his path. it wasn’t until a few months ago where he received a call that liliana had died in a car accident on her way to the airport to visit him. of course, when he got the news from her parents, he asked not only why were they calling him but also why she was coming to visit after they hadn’t talked in a few years.
the parents quickly let him know that she had a daughter and was ready to tell him that he was the father. they didn’t end the call before letting him know they wanted him nowhere near the one year old girl and he had no rights to meet her.
leo’s heart is broken as he moves through this new life that he created while mourning yet another person. the daughter remains a secret, something he hasn’t told a soul, yet. his drinking has only gotten heavier since he has no idea what she looks like and is crippled by fear of already being a deadbeat dad. he’s attempted to call, send a few letters, but they never get back to him.

the bar he managed went down in a tornado . due to a friends help he was able to buy the bar and rebuild it with elijah . he now owns the bar and it’s named after his mother ‘ seraphina’s . ’
everyone now knows about daughter and she lives with him in charleston .
