She wasn’t fine, any moron with eyes could see that, Did it bother him? Perhaps, but not enough to reiterate the fact by continuing on with some half arsed lecture about doing what was necessary to ensure her own safety and frame of mind remained in tact; no heroic gestures. “Wait.–” He sighed, though he thought on it for a moment, a sharp whistle pierced his lips and cut the sound of the crowd quickly before it stopped, Zeke only waiting for his four legged friend to part the masses in much the same way as he left his place by the door. He’d never really gone anywhere without Apollo – and that meant everywhere. An equally as sharp click of his fingers brought the shepherd to heel, “ —– He’ll stay with you until this is over.” Until they found Caitlyn.
In all the times that she’d met up with Zeke for exchanges of information or even just seeing him around Blackwater, the massive dog had always been at his side or at the very least within the room where he could easily be called. As Apollo came to sit by her now, she realized the heavy implication of this gesture--- though perhaps not the one which mattered most. "You’re giving me a four legged babysitter? Thanks.” An affectionate smile spread across her features when she took in the German Shepherd, though it disappeared just as quickly as the heavy weight of an invisible clock pressed on everyone’s shoulders once more. “What the hell are you waiting for? A good luck kiss? Get out of here, go rally the boys in blue and find her.”
