Curth’s civil rights attorney, Brittany Stewart, has confirmed that the appeal has been filed with the college. Curth alleges that the investigation was inherently flawed and biased based on a national political campaign, and the investigators failed to consider all of the case background and evidence as a result. Simultaneously, OU’s graduate student senate commented that the decision to remove Curth has irreparably damaged the university’s academic reputation. The American Association of University Professors (a paid membership organization dedicated to providing advice, assistance, mediation and legal support to university faculty) has launched a petition for OU to reinstate Curth. Apply public pressure to support Mel Curth’s appeal.
