#looking for a very specific beetle for my mentor #actually been having a lot of success finding them #they’re so tiny #I seperate beetles and any other cool bugs to pin later too #antifreeze makes me thirsty #do not drink it #I want to but I will not #lab safety is important #entomology #lepidtalks

Thinking about the beetle photo in my camera roll that’s permanently at the front of my photos because it’s from the year 4501 and I refuse to delete it.

Learning about how the war on bugs in our homes language that’s frequently used by pest control companies is deeply rooted in war propaganda and capitalism has me going a little crazy today. It’s a very interesting rabbit hole to look into.

I always get a little sad when people draw blue morpho butterflies and their wings are just blue on both side because the underside of their wings are so COOL and PRETTY and I adore their eyespots!! They can also differ so much between species!!
