people that didn’t grow up with football in the late 2000s to about 2012 just don’t understand how bat shit insane the four el clasicos in april 2011 truly were. like there was a chance the spanish national team was just gonna collapse. football BARELY made it through. pep and jose going at it in the press (pep’s mourinho is the fucking boss rant is up there with jose’s respect football heritage rants). mourinho poking tito vilanova in the eye. pep going on a sabbatical at the end of it. it was 18 days of pure entertainment for anyone that wasn’t involved and football just doesn’t do chaos like that anymore
