And you got what from it? A fascist government? Are you going to stand by that conscience when minorities are targeted, forced out of their homes. You going to believe in your conscience when bullying surges, when people start taking their own lives? You going to fall back on that conscience when your fellow citizens are degraded to second class, or worse?
Your choice has made America a more dangerous place. Not only will you feel internal effects, it will affect you overseas. It will affect us by proxy. You have given a bounty of propaganda to the likes of terrorists. The hateful rhetoric will inflame hatred of you.
In enabling Trump to reach the White House, you have just sent a clear message to 1.6 billion people that you do not like them.
You have alienated 122 million people south of your border.
You have driven fear into every gay, bisexual or transgender man and woman who lives or sets foot in the States.
You have told women that they are little more than objects who need to stay at home or in the kitchen, who can be assaulted whenever the man feels like it. Girls and women will be shamed more than usual for how they look, and cheating on them will be seen as okay because hey, the President did it, twice, as did most of his close confidants.
You have enabled the continued, unchecked proliferation of military weaponry into your populace and likely jeopardized the lives of countless innocents.
You have enabled a man who not once disavowed a known racist harshly, a man who hates Jews and minorities, and gleefully cheered about his win. A man who was controlled by an anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist.
You have enabled a man who cheated the system for money, who drove people out of business, who effectively stole from them. A man who is the closest thing to a tyrannical king as you will get.
This is a man who said he was a fantastic athlete, the best baseball player in NY, one of the best golfers in the world. That everything he has started was a success, despite a ridiculous number of failures and known cons and frauds. He is surrounded by sycophants who will willingly agree with everything he says. Sound familiar? .
You have put our world at risk by enabling a man who believes climate change, one of the biggest threats to our continued existence, is a hoax. Do you think he’ll be the one suffering when crops start failing? When coastal areas flood? When more people die because of bigger, stronger storms?
And what about us in Europe? Your new president wants protection money to counter Russia, and even then he’d probably take the money and leave.
Your conscience is far from clear. And when this whole travesty goes tits up, it’ll be on you.
