Les Mis AU where Enjolras is a state legal aid because he wants to help represent those who are wrongly accused but cannot afford their own lawyers. He wants to protect those who would otherwise rot in jail when they do not deserve it and who are victims of institutionalized racism/sexism and white/male entitlement.

Grantaire who is a prosecuting attorney and whos ultimate goal is to make sure that the people who wrong others are behind bars.

At some point, the two end up having a case against each other. Grantaire can’t stop himself from staring at the beautiful man who speaks and challenges the court like an angry god. Enjolras, for his part, thinks the lawyer with a crooked tie is infuriating in the way he dismantles his points and argues against him like no one has ever done before.

Enjolras is Saint-Michel Academy’s brightest young composer. He runs the orchestra, the Musician’s Rights board, chairs the scholarship program, teaches free classical music to children, and is in the middle of his dissertation. He has never been anything less than a prodigy, until his teacher forces him to write a pop song.

Enter the effortlessly cool Grantaire, with his smudged eyeliner and lovely guitar-playing fingers. He really digs Enjolras’ “vibe,” whatever that means.

There’s wooing, and revelry, and all sorts of things that don’t quite suit Enjolras’ sensibilities.
